Lia's Art for Wellbeing
✨🎨🖌🌸Thank you to everyone who came to my first Art for Wellbeing Menopause Class 🙏
✨We started off with a short meditation where I asked if there were any particular colours that were coming up and also any words. We took a few deep breaths and then began our activity for the evening.
✨We drew round one of our hands with a black sharpie, we then added squiggly lines running through the hand then joined the squiggly lines to form a protection round the hand.
✨We then curved round any points where lines crossed or were sharp, this in turn has an effect on our brains calming and softening any strong emotions or feelings. Then we thought about the colours that came up for us (working in 3 colours) and used these in our design. We also thought about any words that came up, some of us wrote this on the front of our work.
✨This was a very therapeutic activity which can in turn help with some of the symptoms and emotional patterns that occur during stages of menopause.
✨If you would like to join us at the next Art for Well-being Menopause Support Class this will be taking place in September (exact dates to be confirmed) All materials, guidance and refreshments provided £24 held The Christopher Centre Sudbury
