Building connections, even when faced with substantial barriers.

Every week, we have staff visiting people inside North East prisons. Sharing experiences, bringing hope and introducing support for now, and in the future.

And it's not uncommon that staff are visiting premises they've been before, and stayed for some time. This week, Shawn brought the message of recovery to HMP Northumberland, in the first of a series of monthly visits.

Having once spent a long stretch inside these very walls, he's now an example of the immense change that recovery can bring to anybody's journey.

Today is World Radio Day. Massive shout out to Radio North East for supporting us over the years with our ongoing advert campaigns. We also turn our gaze to develop an advert for inpatients at Sunderland Royal through their hospital radio, with the hopes of promoting local recovery services via the Recovery Coalition

Sunderland's local drug services are busy reviewing current trends and pathways for Ketamine, as well as curating our preventative offer. If you have ever used Ketamine we'd love to know your experiences as part of our ongoing research. Sunderland's local young person's service are currently leading on this work and we'd love to help set up an informal interview.
