One of my greatest passions is raising awareness of the quiet burden young carers carry.

I have recently been visiting young carers groups around London and had the opportunity to talk on a podcast about my dissertation, young carers and mental health, and the powerful role that play therapy can have in supporting them.

Young carers can struggle to be seen and speak up for their own needs. This conversation is about making space for their emotional world and why therapeutic support truly matters.

Back at school today, learning a bit more about body regulation and the sensorimotor systems with Sarah and her wonderful team .

It is so intetesting to deep dive into the children experience their bodies and make sense of the world around them.

We relocated the last 2 minutes of our session this morning to play in the snow! Watching children (and adults) explore, experiment, and make memories is always magical.

Little ponderings about Christmas

Christmas can feel magical. The lights, the sparkle, the build up, the excitement in the air. For many children and families, there is genuine joy in the rituals, the decorations, the music and the sense that something special is happening.
