Today is the International Day of Charity. We wanted to take the opportunity to share some of the amazing things our Children & Young People Projects have been up to.
Power-Up: Going out into school and communities to deliver 6 week long State of Mind courses for young people in Cardiff & the Vale. The topics cover things like Mindfulnes, Friendships, and Setting Goals.
The Hangouts: They continue to provide safe spaces outside of school hours and during holidays. Here, young people can access 1-2-1 support, signposting to other organisations and fun activities.
Gwent 4YP: Provided a fun filled summer programme, which included wildlife park visits, escape rooms, and creative workshops. Young people had the opportunity to learn new skills and gain new friends.
Swansea School Based Counselling: Supported 2076 young people in educational settings over the last school year, including summer holidays. They ensure that young people can access any help they might need when they need it.
Wonderfest: Our annual wellbeing festival in Cardiff and Swansea. They provide an opportunity to bridge the gap between communities, organisations, and people of power. The days were filled with activities, stalls, open mics, food, and more.
As a mental health charity, we strive to create positive change, champion social justice, and support local communities and their people.
We believe that through co-production with other organisations and people of power, we can create a future where anyone can easily access mental health support at first point of contact.
