What a wonderful Father’s Day celebration we had here at Orchid! ☀️

It was fantastic to welcome families into the home to enjoy a special lunch together in the garden. Residents and their loved ones tucked into a choice of traditional pie and mash or a delicious burger and chips while making the most of the sunshine and spending quality time together.

A huge thank you to Dale for the delicious food! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. Seeing families come together, sharing stories, laughter and precious moments, is what days like these are all about. 💙

Our residents took part in a sunflower planting activity this afternoon🌻

Everyone enjoyed decorating their own flower pots before carefully planting their sunflower seeds, creating some wonderful and unique designs along the way. 🎨🪴

Now comes the exciting part – the competition is on! Over the coming weeks we’ll be keeping a close eye on our sunflowers to see whose grows the tallest. 🌱📏

This morning we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to our incredible care team.

To show our appreciation, we took a breakfast trolley around the home, treating our hardworking staff to pastries, fruit, and some hot drinks to start their day.

The dedication, kindness and compassion our carers show every single day make such a difference to the lives of our residents and their families. Their commitment never goes unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything they do.

Orchid Care Home are looking for Stall Holders for their Summer Fete on Saturday 15th August between 2-4PM. Our summer fete is very popular and we are expecting a large number of people to be there. We politely ask for £10 Pitch Fee in exchange for the stall 😊
