A creative afternoon on Bluebell with lots of arts, crafts and fun! 🎨🥰 Our residents enjoyed getting stuck into some pebble painting, water painting and plenty of other creative bits and pieces!

For Makaton Day, Beckii and Beth spent some time teaching our residents some signs! 👐🥰 Together we learnt how to sign along to ‘We’ll Meet Again’ and ‘P***y Cat, P***y Cat’, with everyone getting stuck in and giving it a go! 🎶❤️

It was lovely to learn a new way of communicating together, with plenty of concentration, laughter and a few attempts at remembering which sign came next! 👏

Our Daffodil residents enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon of water painting! 🖌️

Using our special water-reveal painting sheets, residents brushed over the pages with water and watched as the beautiful colours and pictures magically appeared! 🌈✨

Hi all, Beth here! 🩵 I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Team Orchid for the loveliest gender reveal today! 🥹

Residents and staff have been making their predictions over the last few weeks, and today Nick and family joined us to finally find out whether Baby Robinson-Harrington is a boy or a girl! With 16 votes for a boy and 7 for a girl, it turns out the majority were right… IT’S A BOY! 💙👶🏻

A huge thank you to my lovely team who organised, Chloe and Dale who made the gorgeous cake and cupcakes, the thoughtful gifts, and everyone who joined us for the big reveal. It was so lovely being able to share such a special moment with the residents and staff who have been so supportive! 🥰

We’re incredibly excited to be welcoming our little boy in January, and I’m so pleased I got to share the moment with my Orchid family! 🩵💙

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a fantastic day out at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm! 💚

After an early start, everyone boarded the coach ready for our adventure. Once we arrived, we settled down for a picnic lunch before heading off to explore the zoo! 🥪🍪🍎

Residents enjoyed exploring the park alongside our staff and wonderful volunteers, getting up close to some incredible animals including lions, bears, elephants, giraffes and many more! 🐘🦁🦒

There were plenty of smiles, conversations and questions along the way, and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the sights and making the most of such a special day out. ❤️

A huge thank you to all of our staff and volunteers who helped make the day possible! From the people on the trip supporting our residents throughout the day, to the amazing team back at Orchid who got everyone ready and settled after we came home, Trips like this take a huge team effort, and we couldn’t do them without you. 💚

What a brilliant day and some wonderful memories made! 🐾🌿
