Over 515,000 men may have experienced domestic abuse without reporting it to police in 2024.

That is not a minor gap. It is a warning that silence, stigma and support failures are leaving male victims unseen.

Higgs LLP estimated this figure by comparing 712,000 men estimated to have experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2024 with 196,381 police-recorded cases involving male victims.

In family proceedings, male victims must be heard carefully and assessed fairly. No father should be presumed to be the perpetrator simply because he is a man. Abuse can be physical, emotional, coercive or controlling: and every allegation should be examined on evidence, not stereotypes.

It's incredible to look back and see how far our Male-Centred Counselling Services have reached.

What started as a vision to provide a space where men could talk openly has now connected with clients across the UK, from London to the Scottish Highlands, as well as Australia, Singapore, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain and Majorca.

It's genuinely humbling to know that men from so many places have chosen to trust me with their stories. Many are facing similar challenges, whether that's anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, loneliness, grief, or simply feeling that they have to carry everything on their own.

Seeing more men take that first step and reach out for support gives me real hope. Every conversation matters, and it's a privilege to walk alongside someone as they work towards a healthier and more fulfilling future.

Thank you to everyone who has placed their trust in Male-Centred Counselling Services. I never take that trust for granted, and I hope more men continue to see that reaching out for support is a sign of courage, not weakness.

Let's be absolutely clear. We have counselled men who experienced, and who are still experiencing parental alienation.

We have counselled boys who have experienced

Men receive no funding for domestic abuse and are placed and listed under VAWG (violence against women and girls).

Not only are 42% of domestic abuse victims are males, now male victims are being told that they are not victims of parental alientation with large links to male su***de.

In 2018, the uk parliamentary committee stated: If women lost access to their children at the rate that men do, they would expect to see female su***de rates to go up.

These comments are irresponsible and dangerous.
