Some things I will never stop saying.

I work with women who are exhausted by all the nutrition noise.

Women trying to be smaller instead of stronger.

Women spending hundreds on supplements before looking at what’s actually on their plate.

Women letting food take up so much headspace that there’s nothing left for the people and things they love.

These are the hills I will die on.

Not because I’m judging anyone’s choices, but because I’ve seen what happens when women get the basics right.

More energy.

More consistency.

More confidence around food.

More room in their lives for things that matter far more than calories, macros and the number on the scales.

Most of us aren’t eating enough fibre. And it’s probably why you’re hungry again an hour after eating.

One of the simplest ways to make meals more satisfying? Fibre.

Yet meals that leave you feeling satisfied are so much easier to stick to than meals that leave you hungry and thinking about food all day.

It’s not the most exciting nutrition advice you’ll hear online, but sometimes the basics really do make the biggest difference.

Are you someone who can have one piece of chocolate and move on? Because I am absolutely not that person.

Of all my friends I am definitely the one who loves chocolate the most. And as a nutritionist that probably surprises people.

But here’s the thing. I will never tell you to remove it from your life. Life is too short and food is meant to be enjoyed.

What I will tell you is how to make it work for you rather than against you.

Eat it intentionally. Not standing at the counter grabbing handfuls because you’re starving. Sit down, make a cup of tea, actually enjoy it.

Add it in rather than saving it for a binge. One of my clients adds dark chocolate chips to her Greek yogurt every morning. She gets her fix, it keeps her satisfied, and she doesn’t spend the rest of the day thinking about it.

Make it part of something nourishing. Dark chocolate in overnight oats, a square melted into a warm drink, homemade energy balls with cocoa and dates.

The goal is never to eat less of the things you love. It’s to enjoy them in a way that makes you feel good rather than rubbish afterwards.

That’s the whole strategy.

Eating tiny portions all day isn’t what actually gets results.

I see this so often. Women cutting back, feeling hungry, pushing through, and still not seeing the progress they want.

Recently one of my clients told me she had more energy, fewer crashes during the day, less desire for sugary foods and had lost weight too.

The interesting part? We didn’t focus on eating as little as possible.

We focused on building meals that were more satisfying. Adding more fruit and vegetables. Including foods that contain fibre. Making sure meals actually kept her going between meals.

Because the goal isn’t to get through the next few weeks.

It’s to build habits that still feel manageable months and years from now.

Not another week of being “good”.

The comments women make when something finally clicks.

Because that’s the real goal.

Helping women build habits they can actually stick to.

Helping them feel calmer around food, more confident in their choices and trust themselves again.

Healthy eating can feel impossible when you’re exhausted.

Not because you don’t care.
Not because you’re lazy.
Not because you’ve “fallen off track”.

Usually it’s because you’re trying to juggle work, family, life admin, looking after everyone else, and somehow still expected to have the time and energy to think about balanced meals all day too.

When you’re running on empty, food often becomes the first thing to slip.

You skip meals because you’re busy, grab whatever’s easiest, then by the evening you’re starving and picking at everything in sight.

And then comes the guilt, the “I need to get back on track” thoughts, and the cycle starts all over again.

Healthy eating should not feel this hard.

It should feel supportive, realistic and fit around real life, not take over it 🤍
