Tetbury Hospital Trust

Tetbury Hospital Trust We provide a broad range of NHS, self pay and insured treatments for the benefit of our community Referrals can also be made by an optician, or a dentist.

In the late 1980s when the NHS ran Tetbury Hospital it was threatened with closure. The people of the town raised over £1 million to ‘buy’ the hospital. Tetbury Hospital Trust Ltd was set up as a charity to run the hospital for the benefit of the people of Tetbury and the surrounding district. At the same time The Friends of Tetbury Hospital came into being with HRH The Prince of Wales as its Patr

on to act as the fundraising arm of the Hospital. The Friends play an important part in providing the Hospital with new equipment and facilities. We deliver the best care to local communities and our services are available through the NHS e-Referral System which is available in all GPs throughout the Country. We provide a comprehensive service and have excellent relationships with the local NHS Trusts and other Independent Sector healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care

The solar eclipse is coming! 🌄

We all would like you to enjoy tonight's solar eclipse, however we want you view it safely.

Mr. Ian Comaish, one of our Consultant Ophthalmologists at Tetbury Hospital, has advised us to read the safe guidance from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

"The College’s advice is simple: never look directly at the sun without appropriate protection. Ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, do not provide adequate protection. Neither do binoculars, telescopes or cameras unless the equipment has an appropriate, professionally fitted solar filter placed in front of the objective lens."

Remember to look after your eyes, you only have one pair! 👀
