I got to climb in Llanberis Pass last night. Feeling the deepest gratitude for the awesomeness of it all. I am gonna say this was my favourite outdoor climb yet. For a few reasons. Apart from it being in Llanberis Passโ€ฆ which is jaw droppingly gorgeous. My first time out there ๐Ÿ˜

I was mesmerised by the beauty of the rocks and plants here, itโ€™s like confetti for the senses.

My friend was the best company and very kindly helped me fill in some important gaps in my knowledge, plus super helpful female tips (including women stuff that men never tell youโ€ฆ this alone is gold dust!). Feeling an abundance of gratitude for that. Thank you Michelle McMillan ๐Ÿ™โœจ

My peaceful place where the trees, ferns and mosses make more sense than a lot of humans.

Nature doesnโ€™t judge us.
So you get to โ€˜beโ€™ And you get to remember who you truly are again and again and again. Here with the plants and rocks our soul remembers ๐Ÿ˜

And I thought it was just another evening foraging in my back yard ๐Ÿ˜†

Very white and foggy everywhere above 500metres at Cadair Idris today. I came prepared for the weather knowing there would be rain and that visibility would be low high up.
I was surprised at the number of dads bringing their kids up totally unprepared for the weather and some not really understanding what they were getting in to. I even had to take a dad and his 9 year old son under my wing at the summit for the journey down so they could get down safely.

Guess the mountain ๐Ÿคฃ
An early start ensured beautiful views from the other side of Ogwen Valley.

A scramble up Pen Yr Ole Wen. Oh man that was steep, but was super funโ€ฆ eating lots of wild bilberries enroute ๐Ÿ˜
Then I stopped taking photos at the summits because the weather changed (high winds and driving rain as predicted by the weather charts which are essential to be aware of on this kind of terrain).
A gorgeous mountain day.
Now Iโ€™m gonna soak in the bath tub ๐Ÿ›

So much to discover in such a gentle bimble with my lovely friend Ros who came to visit. Such a beautiful, kind hearted soul and a joy to spend a couple of days with.

There are oodles of heather plants in bloom, bilberries fruiting and crystals glistening in the rocks. What a magical wander together in this precious land.

When we walk for long enough, eventually our heartbeat becomes at one with Mother Earth. Our breath deepens. Chaos falls away. The noise of the world fades and stillness speaks. Ahhhhhhhhh ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ™

Haha Iโ€™m on a roll, the mountains have got me yet again ๐Ÿ˜‚

Today was the most gorgeous day up to the summits of Cnicht, Moelwyn Mawr and Moelwyn Bach. Loads of little and big lakes, and Cwmorthin quarry.

What a joy ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™

9.2 miles and
1130m of ascent

A fascinating find on the Wales Coast Path yesterday. Abandoned Victorian brickworksโ€ฆ where they used to make bricks. This in on the North coast of Anglesey ๐Ÿ™‚โœจ

Very peaceful, sitting in a perfectly shaped rugged cove. The brickworks included three round buildings and a couple of huge chimney stacks. Lots of interesting iron features scattered about. Even saw huge jelly fish bobbing about and the most gorgeous Malinoir dog ๐Ÿ• with his human.

Itโ€™s hard to capture the magnitude of beauty in these mountains. They are quiet and magical, fierce and nurturing. A bundle of paradox.

The community of mountain goats reminded me as always of their beautiful stories.
