Natural nail care has returned at Pause, with the focus firmly on caring for and enhancing the nails you already have.

Not everyone wants BIAB, extensions, overlays or heavily structured nails. Sometimes you simply want your hands and nails professionally cared for, your cuticles tidied and a beautiful colour applied with the time and attention it deserves.

Choose a classic manicure for essential nail and cuticle care, or treat your hands to a more indulgent OPI ProSpa Manicure, which includes additional exfoliation, hydration and massage.

I use OPI for traditional polish and Artistic Colour Gloss for a glossy, longer-lasting gel finish on natural nails. IBX strengthening treatments are also available for nails that need some additional support.

Whether you prefer a natural finish, a favourite OPI shade or the longer wear of Artistic Colour Gloss, every appointment includes careful preparation and calm, one-to-one attention.

A facial doesn’t have to be either results-focused or relaxing. At Pause, it can be both.

My CLINICCARE facial collection combines professional skincare with the hands-on elements that make a facial feel like genuine time out. Your treatment is chosen around what your skin needs, while massage and soothing touch help release the tension many of us hold through the face, jaw, scalp, neck and shoulders.

You can choose from the 45-minute Refresh & Restore Facial at £50, add back massage for a longer 65-minute treatment at £65, or book the Radiance & Renewal Carboxytherapy Facial for brighter, fresher and firmer-looking skin.

For a more indulgent experience, the 90-minute Facial Reset Ritual combines professional facial care with plenty of time for your whole body and mind to settle.

Each appointment includes a full consultation, so you don’t need to know which products or treatment your skin needs before you arrive. We can work that out together.

We often think of massage as something we book when our back aches, our shoulders feel tight or our body is asking us to slow down. However, the benefits of therapeutic touch may reach further than simply easing muscular tension.

A recent BBC Science Focus article explores the growing research into touch and wellbeing, including the way gentle touch can communicate reassurance, support relaxation and help the body move away from a heightened state of alert.

That’s one of the things I’ve always valued about massage. The combination of therapeutic touch, warmth, soothing movement and time away from everyday demands can help both body and mind begin to soften. You don’t have to arrive with a particular problem to solve. Sometimes recognising that you feel tense, tired or overstimulated is reason enough to pause.

My seasonal **Autumn Exhale** ritual has been created with exactly that in mind. A warm, woody aromatherapy blend of cedarwood, frankincense and bergamot is combined with flowing massage, comforting hot towels and soothing face and scalp work to create a grounding, calming and gently uplifting experience.

The 40-minute Autumn Exhale includes the back, décolletage, face and scalp and is £42. The 70-minute ritual offers a full-body massage, including the face and scalp, and is £62.

Autumn Exhale is available throughout September, October and November at Pause, my private treatment space in Brookville, West Norfolk.

Each different season I bring together a carefully selected aromatherapy blend and for September the Pause Autumn Ritual brings together a warming seasonal treatment combining soothing massage, aromatherapy, comforting hot towels and plenty of time to switch off.

Back, décolletage, face and scalp massage with a hot towel compress across the back.

The Confidence Reset is now part of the Mind & Confidence support at Pause.

This is for women who feel anxious, stuck, held back by fear, overthinking, procrastination or self-doubt.

It is based on CONTROL system principles and hypnotherapy-informed positive change work, but it does not involve trance, being put under or losing control. You remain awake, aware and involved throughout.

The first step is a 45-minute consultation, where we talk through what you would like to change and whether this support feels right for you.
