Soul Alchemy Retreat Italy 2026

Entered with the intention of creating space for myself, and it offered this and so much more. It felt so good to be off grid, away from my phone and the demands and expectations of daily life, and to just be in full presence and connection.

Gorgeous daily yoga practices, enjoying local Italian food together, beautiful surroundings, sunsets, bathing, reading, swimming, river walking, chatting and laughing with a group of lovely people… absolute bliss.

Thanks to the queens, Anna Favager and Nicole Gabriela Driscoll | Yoga Teacher, for hosting an incredible week and being such so generous with your time and energy ❤️

✨ Would love you to join my final yin session before we take August and September off, returning in October.

🔥 It’s hard to think about more restorative practices when the energy is high and the weather is intense. Yin is a perfect antidote offering a meditative practice to support cooling down pitta (fire) and the excess heat and burnout it brings.

Take it as a welcoming of the calm after the storm this Saturday as the weather gets a little cooler 🙏

Listening to signals in the body telling me to slow down and soften.

I have had to check myself lately and notice familiar patterns showing up around taking on and doing too much. Really hard to not get swept up in the constant drive energy, especially when all the ‘stuff’ makes you feel good.

It catches up though. The more we live in doing striving Yang energy, the more time feels like it is speeding up and we lose the beauty in it all.

Reminder that this special practice is always there to hold and teach us 🙏

Wonderful things happen when life feels a little slower.

It's time to ground again 🌿 Bring on the Yin please ☯

Join me next Saturday for a 90 minute Yin Yoga practice connecting with the Earth element 🌍. Expect to be guided through a deep, meditative and nourishing practice. Supported by music, we will journey through mindful awareness of the senses whilst exploring the physical, emotional and energetic layers of experience. We will begin the practice with pranayama and slow embodied movement to support you to drift deeper into stillness and restoration.

Anyone feeling the need to slow down and find some stillness during this shift to Spring?

Recently chatting to my gorgeous friend and Ayurvedic practitioner, Bex ❤️ around feeling tired during this seasonal change when there is an expectation to feel energised . She recently shared a post normalising this feeling of 'stuckness' at the start of spring and advising this is a time to cleanse and clear out the built up energy from winter.

Yin is one healing practice that will offer you time and space to release what needs to be released from the mind and nervous system. I just LOVE this practice.

Join me for 1.5 hours of elemental inspired Yin where you will be guided through a deep, meditative, and nourishing practice supported by gentle music. There will be invitations for embodied movement at points through the practice as you drift deeper into stillness and restoration.

✨ Mandala Vinyasa to Yin Workshop - Journeying through the elements of Earth, Water, Fire and Air ✨

Very last minute decision to offer this workshop at 10am Good Friday instead of the usual 7.45am morning class. Gorgeous way to start the bank holiday weekend.

What to expect for this 1.5 hour class:

🌬️ Pranayama to bring awareness to the breath and anchor into the practice
☯️ Opening yin targeting anatomical areas that will be activated during the Mandala Vinyasa flow
👣 Embodied movement to connect body and breath, open up and find space
🌀 Mandala Vinyasa flow moving in a dynamic circular pattern around the mat
🧘🏻‍♂️ Closing meditative yin to ground and release physically and energetically.

I’m Amy, a local yoga teacher based in Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. I’m loving these longer, lighter days! In yoga tradition, Spring is the "true" start to the year—a natural time to shed winter’s heaviness and awaken that stored energy.

Spring is full of Yang energy—vibrant, growing, and active. But to stay grounded, we also need the Yin—the deep rest and meditative stillness.

✨ Journey to Crow & Headstand Workshop ✨

Join me for a two hour workshop focused on Crow Pose and Headstand. We will break everything down into drills and learn how to enter and fall out safely, helping you build real confidence, technique and strength in your inversions practice.

I know it can feel scary to trust your hands with your weight and go upside down. This workshop is designed to create a space where we can try these movements together in a way that feels safe, supportive and fun! Opportunity for play time outside of a busy regular class 🤸‍♂️

What to expect:

🌿Meditation and pranayama to settle the mind.
🧘‍♀️Vinyasa flow practice to warm up & prep the body.
🙌 Targeted drills alongside support with props & the wall to find our balance.

Is anyone else in deep winter hibernation mode? 🦥❄️

Winter is nature’s ultimate Yin season - an invitation to shift from ‘doing’ into ‘being'. A calling to nurture our energy, anchor into stillness, and listen to the quiet wisdom our bodies hold when we finally slow down.

Whether you need movement or stillness, there is space for both 🙏

It’s been beautiful hearing how transformative the practice is for those returning to our Todmorden classes this week.
