Pregnancy and postnatal yoga classes in Tonbridge. Yoga for pregnancy at the Oast theatre, Tonbridge. Booking in advance.

The 1 hour long classes are for women from 12 weeks of pregnancy and combine gentle Yoga based exercises, breathing techniques, positions for labour and relaxations. They are a great way to relieve some of the stresses of pregnancy and prepare for birth. The aim is for you to have an enjoyable and relaxing time, whilst improving your physical and emotional well being and increasing the likelihood of having a positive birth experience. 1 week since I dropped my youngest off to uni, and if I’m being honest, it’s hit me a lot harder than I was expecting! However, I know he’s having the best time and it’s so exciting this new chapter 🥰

I’m in Eltham, London today in a lovely venue, for day 2 of an National Childbirth Trust antenatal course. This is a group of 9 couples (the maximum you’ll ever get in an NCT course) which makes it great for small group work and discussion (as well as making friends of course). The joy of facilitating antenatal courses for NCT is hearing from the parents, discussing their hopes and worries, sharing evidence based information, dispelling myths and exploring strategies in a non judgemental space 😊

Today is all about meeting their baby, recovering after birth, practical baby care, life with a new baby, sleep, crying, managing the transition to parenthood, supporting mental heath and wellbeing and knowing where to find support.

I love these topics!

I’ll be back in Tonbridge with an antenatal course starting Saturday 5th September (which has a few spaces still available if your baby is due October/ November)

Session 3 of my current NCT antenatal group in Bexleyheath this evening and the babies are ready!

What’s on the agenda?

-meeting your baby, the first hour and first 24 hours including NICU

-practical baby care, nappies, cleaning, clothing…

-recovering after birth and support in the early days

-transition to parenthood- matrescence and patrescence.

I’ve had lots of mamas have their babies recently, which means there’s now space in my Sunday evening pregnancy yoga class in Tonbridge. There’s a couple of weeks of classes before the summer break, and then back in September. Classes are booked individually, meaning you can choose the dates you’re available and you’re not tied to a course. Drop in is £12, but if you book 3 classes it’s just £10 a class. Suitable from 12 weeks up to birth!

Sunday evenings 6-7pm at The Oast theatre in the rehearsal room (not on the stage itself 😁)

If you’ve recently had a baby, the September term of my mum and baby yoga is now open for bookings! Suitable for babies from 6 weeks old to active crawling.
Tuesday mornings at Tonbridge Methodist church, plenty of free parking at venue. 10am and 11.30am classes, with time after each class for chat and tea! 🫖

Another NCT day for me as I’m in Oxted setting up for Day 2 with another lovely antenatal group. Today is all about babies and life as new parents, exploring their expectations vs the reality of life with a baby in those early days and weeks. Making plans and building strategies 👌
