Korean and Japanese skincare is everywhere right now and honestly the marketing is incredible.

The packaging, influencers and glass skin results. But what nobody is saying out loud is that the people promoting these products mostly already had great skin. A toner pad or serum on already perfect skin looks glowy because their skin was already glowy. That’s not the product that’s just their face with product sitting on top.

And for anyone with actual skin concerns like congestion, sensitivity, acne prone skin - some of these products are making things significantly worse. The fungal acne reports from certain toner pads alone are wild.

Here’s the science bit - nothing you can buy over the counter, regardless of price or hype, can pe*****te beyond the surface layer of your skin. It sits on top. Then you wash it off. That’s it.

Botox is one of the best treatments available but it only does one thing, it relaxes movement.

It doesn’t replace lost collagen, it doesn’t restore volume and it doesn’t improve skin quality or hydrate dehydrated skin.

So if you’ve been having Botox for years and you’re still looking in the mirror thinking - I look tired, my skin feels crepey, everything feels like it’s dropping - that’s not Botox failing you.

That’s Botox doing exactly what it was designed to do, just nothing more.

For those of you who’ve been around for a while, you’ll definitely remember Millie. She was a huge part of the team before moving on to an amazing role with Alumier... but thankfully, she’s never been far away.

Who would’ve thought that when you joined the team all those years ago, I’d be gaining a friend for life 🥰

I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved, and so grateful that although our careers have taken us in different directions, our friendship has never changed.

Thank you for always being there, for making me laugh, for supporting me through the highs and the lows and for simply being you.

I hope this next year brings you so much happiness because nobody deserves it more.
