👁️ Could you be losing your sight without knowing it?

The answer is yes.

Many serious eye conditions develop silently, meaning you may not notice any symptoms until permanent damage has already occurred. Conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and retinal disease can all progress before your vision is affected.

That’s why regular eye examinations are so important—even if your eyesight seems perfectly normal.

Early detection gives us the best opportunity to diagnose problems promptly, monitor changes over time and, where needed, begin treatment before significant vision is lost.

Your vision may feel normal, but your eyes could be telling a different story.

When was your last eye examination? Let us know in the comments below. 👇

NHS vs Private Cataract Surgery 👁️
One of the biggest differences between NHS and private cataract surgery is often the choice of lens.

The NHS provides excellent cataract surgery, with most patients receiving a monofocal lens. Private cataract surgery may also offer premium lens options, such as multifocal, EDOF and toric lenses, for suitable patients.

In future videos, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon Mr Hasan Naveed will explain the different lens types, how they work, and how they can be tailored to your lifestyle and visual needs.

👍 If you’d like to learn more, give this video a thumbs up and leave your questions in the comments for Mr Naveed to answer.

This post is for general information only and is not individual medical advice. Suitability for treatment and lens options can only be determined following a comprehensive eye assessment.
