The 9th day of the 9th month is International FASD Day (Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) This is to draw attention to the importance of going alcohol-free for the 9 months of pregnancy.

In the UK, we also celebrate September FASD Awareness Month!
This is a whole month dedicated to raising awareness of FASD in the UK, as well as celebrating the amazing day-to-day achievements of awesome people with FASD up and down the country.

GroBrain Baby is a 4 week course for parents and carers of babies pre-birth to 12 months.

This course focusses on bonding and brain development and the vital part parents and carers play in ‘wiring up’ the connections in their baby’s brain in the first 1001 critical days of life 💗

FASD Month runs throughout September and International FASD Day takes place on 9 September, the ninth day of the ninth month, reflecting the nine months of pregnancy when alcohol should be avoided.

Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a condition caused by drinking alcohol during pregnancy, which can cause lifelong physical and mental health problems.

Awareness remains low and many people affected are undiagnosed or face challenges accessing support 💛
