One month later... and we’re still on such a high💛

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month since 24 Hour Padel People!

We’ve had time to catch our breath, look back on the weekend and take in everything that happened… and we’re still smiling.

Together, we raised over £25,000, which still feels absolutely INCREDIBLE to say.

What made the weekend so special wasn’t just the money we raised. It was seeing so many people come together for the same reason.

Watching teams encourage each other, businesses get behind the event and complete strangers leave as mates is exactly why we do what we do.

We’re so proud of what we created, not because it was a fundraiser, it became so much more than that.

It sparked conversations and brought people together. It reminded us how powerful connection really is.

To everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, donated or simply came along to support us, thank you. You helped make 24 Hour Padel People something we’ll never forget.

The buzz has settled down a little but the pride certainly hasn’t.

We’re still talking about it, we’re still smiling about it, and we’re still so grateful that we got to share it with all of you🥹

It was all sooo good, we might do it all again! Did someone say 2027 date incoming?😅

A good conversation doesn’t have an expiry date📆

A couple of months ago, Dave joined the Podcast for a conversation about leadership, mental health and the importance of genuine human connection.

It wasn’t about having all the answers. It was about creating space for honest conversations, listening without judgement and remembering that, whether you’re in the boardroom, on the shop floor or at home, we’re all just people.

That sits right at the heart of Powered by Mates💙

We believe conversations about mental health should be part of everyday life, not something we only have when life feels overwhelming. Every chat with a mate, a colleague or a family member helps make those conversations feel more normal.

A huge thank you to Lisa and Lee for making it such an open and authentic conversation. If you haven’t listened yet, you can find it on Spotify and Youtube, it’s well worth your time🤝🏽

With all the football on our screens at the moment, it’s reminded us of a fantastic afternoon as part of our Burnley Football Club Charity of the Year partnership🙌🏼

A few months ago, we joined Burnley FC in the Community at Sir John Thursby to talk about something just as important as what happens on the pitch: mental health.

It was inspiring to hear young people speak so openly about looking after themselves and supporting their friends, while a group of elite footballers shared their own experiences of wellbeing in the unique environment of professional football.

It’s a great reminder that behind every player, teammate and supporter is a person and looking after your mental health is something that matters at every level of the game.

A huge thank you to Burnley FC in the Community, Sir John Thursby and everyone who took part in such an important conversation💙

24 hour padel people charity event for

Thank you for letting myself Shaun from Glitter Planet and Michael from Gawthorpe & co Surveyors take part in an event close to home.

Mental health is fast becoming a topic people are feeling more comfortable to discuss but without events and organisations like this we would loose the momentum around such an important topic.

We set out by taking on two spots on the courts. This meant we had the opportunity to raise £500+ for the charity and support so many people in the local area.

We started at 1am 🕐, yes, 1am. The teams had already been playing for over 12 hours, which we were hopeful for an easier game against some pre exhausted players, we were wrong. The game was fun and very enjoyable, with lots of laughter and learning!

The second game was at 10am, we had a sleep but our opponents did not, unfortunately for us, both players must have been drinking lots of energy drinks as they made us look like we needed some sleep. It was a blast and meeting new people and having some fun really sums up the experience.

We managed to raise the target money and the overall money raised by everyone involved was more than £25,000.

Well done to everyone and thank you everyone who supported through shares, likes, comments and donations! You truly are a wonderful community of special human beings! 💜

Where do we even start...💛

We’re still processing everything that happened over the weekend.

The support, the conversations, the generosity, the atmosphere... 24 Hour Padel People became something far bigger than we could ever have imagined and that’s entirely down to the incredible people who got behind it.

A huge thank you to our headline sponsors who believed in the event from the very beginning:
👉🏼Co-Creation
👉🏼Thorne Fire & Security
👉🏼The Alternative School
👉🏼Pendle Padel Club
👉🏼Silentnight
👉🏼Rebus Recruitment
Your support made this possible💛

To our incredible Royal Dyche and MT3 teams... thank you for taking on the challenge and playing for 24 hours. Without your effort (and lack of sleep) this would not have been possible!🎾

To everyone who played, donated, bought raffle tickets, volunteered their time, provided prizes, came down to support, shared our posts, cheered people on or simply helped spread the word... thank you, thank you, thank you.

Every single contribution made a difference.

This was never just a fundraiser, but the unbelievable TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND pounds raised is going to be so valuable to the work that we do🙏

This event was built on kindness, community and people coming together for a cause that means so much and we’ll never take that support for granted.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and genuinely overwhelmed by the response.

So...should we do it all again next year?😉
