It was the inflatable assault. If you asked any one of us who went into Frenzy Waterpark what their favourite part was, they would have said the inflatable assault course.
Some of us might even say it was the favourite part of the whole holiday.

It wasn’t just the low level panic/ high level excitement of being tagged, thrown off or jumped on during our came of Base,

the determination to win despite achy legs and arms from being too unfit to keep up with the adult/teen size grandkids -

it was the looking around and only seeing people I love doing something I love - even though it was tough sometimes.

Then I realised that I’ve built that life at home too, it’s not just saved for holidays.

That’s felt pretty awesome.

As my eldest girl often reminds me “YOLO”.

What’s the point of building an incredible life if we don’t enjoy it?!

I hear this all the time from the people I work with. Doctors, founders, leaders, business owners - the people who are brilliant at carrying a lot.

And that’s the problemđŸ«  - when you’re capable of holding everything together, people let you.

Have you even noticed that you’re not actually on your own list anymore. And if you are, you’re literally part of a tick list.

Your team gets the stressed version. Your family gets whatever’s left. And you? You get five minutes on the loo scrolling your phone and calling it a break.

If putting yourself last really made you better for everyone else... they’d be getting the best of you. Are they?

Looking after yourself isn’t something you earn once everyone else has been sorted! Its the complete opposite.
