Pass it on: early diagnosis saves lives 👏

New data shows that since 2019, more than 10,000 people in England have been diagnosed with lung cancer earlier through an NHS initiative which uses mobile screening vans to visit local communities.

The data shows that more than three-quarters of the lung cancers detected by the programme were found at the earliest stages (stages 1 and 2) meaning they were easier to treat and more likely to be curable.

Your GP practice is one of a group of local practices that are coming together to form a federation of local practices in Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre.

This partnership will allow our practices to work together more effectively — sharing resources, offering more services locally and having a stronger voice in decisions about healthcare in our community.

It will not change your registration with your current GP practice, and your relationship with your own practice will continue as it is today.
