Hi everyone, I thought it was time to tell you a little bit more about who I am, why I do what I do with Uplifting Therapies and why I call myself an ‘Expert by Experience’ Addiction Therapist & Holistic Therapist. An ‘Expert by Experience’, What does this mean? …

It means I now have over 12 years’ experience of living life without the need to use alcohol or drugs to feel normal, to take away th

e anxiety, to block feelings, to give me the confidence I thought I never had & to help me function in general. They were my anaesthetics! My coping mechanisms! It means that over time my ability to Stop drinking or using drugs, ceased to exist. Once I started, I could not stop, and life started to become unmanageable... I became unmanageable and it started to affect the people around me too. I asked for help…made a commitment to myself, put in the work daily and here I am now! The light that "HAD" died within me, is now "Alight" and it Sparkles and Shines SO brightly. The benefits of receiving holistic treatments and addiction therapy had such a profound effect on me both physically and mentally that I decided to study them at college for 2 years and now deliver them with great passion. Addiction Therapy is tailored to the individuals needs including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution focused therapy, EFT Matrix Re-imprinting and Counselling Skills alongside my personal recovery skills. Energy plays a huge part in my recovery, keeping my mind clear and positive, focusing on the here and now takes work, but it truly is worth it to have the life I have today. Being abstinent has created a new life for not only me, but for those closest to me that we all now enjoy, and one for which I am proud to be living ✨

Yesterday, I received my beautiful Message from , today I made an impromptu call to an old friend who reminded that connections Stay in our Hearts 💕 & Angels last forever 😇 & then a Crazy Magical Lady (its ok she's not on Facebook 🤣) turns up for a treatment with a bunch of flowers 💐 just because.....

Sometimes the smallest things find their way to exactly where they’re meant to be ✨
This little gnome was on his way to the “never never land”… but instead, he’s found a new home here in the garden sanctuary 💚

A gentle reminder that even the unwanted, the forgotten, and the overlooked can still bring a little magic when given a place to belong 🌿

Safe to say… Uplifting Therapies is now officially a sanctuary for wayward gnomes too 🧚‍♂️💫
