🦶 PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY — DON’T IGNORE THE SIGNS
Do your feet feel numb, tingly, burning or unusually sensitive? You may be experiencing symptoms of peripheral neuropathy.
Peripheral neuropathy happens when the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord become damaged or irritated. Symptoms affecting the feet can include:
⚡ Pins and needles or tingling
🔥 Burning or shooting pains
🦶 Numbness or reduced sensation
❄️ Unusual hot or cold sensations
⚖️ Poor balance or unsteadiness
💥 Increased sensitivity to touch
🩹 Cuts, blisters or wounds you may not notice
There are many possible causes, including diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, certain medications, nerve compression and other medical conditions.
If you’re experiencing ongoing changes in sensation in your feet, don’t ignore them. Early assessment can help identify the possible cause and reduce the risk of further problems.
