BTS at the clinic 🎥✨

Lately, it’s been all hands on deck as we prepare for our webinar — planning, organising, creating and getting everything ready behind the scenes 🤍

We’re especially proud of Tilda, who recently completed an ultra marathon in support of the MASIC charity 🏃‍♀️ An incredible achievement for such an important cause, raising awareness and support for women affected by severe birth injuries.

A little glimpse into the people, passion and teamwork behind it all ✨

We’re excited to be part of the Everywoman Festival — a powerful women’s health space bringing together expert-led talks, interactive sessions, and honest conversations designed to inform, support, and empower women at every stage of life.

It’s a place to ask questions, challenge myths, and access evidence-based information in a safe and welcoming environment.

We’ll be there representing The Mummy MOT, connecting with you throughout the day — and Maria will also be speaking on a panel in the Birth and Beyond tent, sharing insights around postpartum recovery and beyond.

A day of conversation, community, and connection — and we can’t wait to be part of it.

Not all superheroes wear capes… some wear running shoes 👟✨

Our incredible pelvic health physio Matilda is taking on an ultra marathon in Brighton in support of MASIC Foundation — a charity dedicated to supporting women affected by severe birth injuries and raising awareness around maternal healthcare.

We are so proud of her commitment, determination, and passion for advocating for women’s health both inside and outside the clinic 💛

If you’d like to support Matilda and this amazing cause, keep an eye on our stories for donation details and updates on her journey! 🏃‍♀️🌊

You don’t always realise the moment it happens.

There is no big pause, no perfect movie scene.

Just a tiny face being lifted over the screen,
a quick glimpse,
a rush of emotion you can’t quite place yet 🤍

You are still lying there, still processing, still catching up with everything your body has just gone through.

And then it hits you.

That’s your baby.

Not the one you imagined in your head for months,
but real, warm, here.

In that second, the room fades a little,
the voices blur,
and something deep inside you shifts forever ✨

However your birth unfolded, that moment belongs to you.

Messy, powerful, quiet, overwhelming.

Yours.

Having an unplanned C section does not mean your body failed you. It does not mean you were not strong enough or capable enough to give birth. Birth does not always unfold the way we hope or imagine.

Your body carried your baby. Your body protected your baby. And when a different path was needed your body still showed up with strength and resilience.

There is no one right way to give birth. There is only the way that brought your baby here safely.

You are allowed to feel proud and you are allowed to feel everything else too. Both can exist at the same time.

And then suddenly everything goes quiet

The lights are still bright the room is still full but all you can hear is the sound you have been waiting for

That first cry 🤍

After everything felt so fast so unexpected so out of your control there they are

Your baby

Placed into your world in a moment that feels both overwhelming and unbelievably still

You might be shaking you might be tearful you might not even have the words yet

But in that moment nothing else matters

Not the plan that changed
Not the fear you felt
Not the way it all unfolded

Just you and the tiny human you brought here ✨

However your birth happened that moment is yours
Raw real and completely unforgettable

Some births don’t follow the plan you held so closely in your heart

An unplanned C section can feel like a whirlwind
One moment you are breathing through contractions and the next you are in a theatre under bright lights being asked to trust a path you never imagined

There can be relief
There can be fear
There can be grief for the birth you didn’t have

And still
There is strength in every second of it

Your body did not fail
Your birth is not less than
You brought your baby into the world with courage whether it was calm or chaotic whether it felt empowering or overwhelming

C section scars are not just physical
They hold stories of resilience of surrender of love that chose safety above all else

This month is a reminder that every birth matters
Every mother matters
And every story deserves to be held with softness and respect

If you had an unplanned C section your experience is valid your emotions are allowed and your body is worthy of care and healing

C-Section Awareness Month 🤍

A Caesarean birth is major abdominal surgery, yet so many women are sent home with little guidance on how to care for their scar.

At 16 Glentworth Street, we believe your recovery deserves more attention, more support, and more care ✨

One of the ways we support our mums is through LPG therapy also known as Endermologie, a gentle, non-invasive treatment that can make a real difference to scar healing.

Here’s how it helps
▫️ Improves blood flow to the area
▫️ Reduces scar adhesions and tightness
▫️ Supports lymphatic drainage, helping with swelling
▫️ Enhances tissue mobility and elasticity
▫️ Can help reduce discomfort and sensitivity

C-section scars aren’t just “skin deep”. They can impact how your core, pelvic floor, and even your breathing function.

✨ And the earlier we support them, when appropriate, the better the long-term outcomes.

If you’ve had a C-section, whether it was 6 weeks ago or 6 years ago, it is never too late to start working on your scar.

You deserve to feel at home in your body again.
