🌿 A Beautiful Memorial at Newmarket Cemetery, Suffolk

We were proudly commissioned to design, craft and install a beautiful cremation memorial plaque at Newmarket Cemetery, Suffolk, created to complement an existing grave.

Crafted from beautiful white marble, the stone naturally displays a stunning variation of soft greys and whites, finished with elegant glossy black inscriptions.

Every memorial we create is handled with care, compassion and attention to detail, because we understand the importance of creating a lasting tribute that feels truly personal.

Clare Men of War Memorial Restoration 🇬🇧🇬🇧

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the cleaning and restoration of the Men of War Memorial in Clare, Sudbury, Suffolk.

It was a privilege to be commissioned to restore such an important monument, dedicated to the memory of those who gave their lives during the First and Second World Wars.

The project began with a thorough cleaning of the entire memorial, carefully removing years of dirt, staining, and biological growth. Over the course of two days, we worked around the challenges of the busy village traffic to ensure the restoration was carried out safely and to the highest possible standard.

The results have been outstanding. The stone has been restored to its original condition, revealing its natural beauty once again and allowing it to stand proudly at the heart of the village.

We have been delighted to receive such positive feedback from members of the local community and are extremely proud of the finished result.

**A New Chapter for Hermitage Memorials**

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share that Hermitage Memorials has been given the opportunity to work alongside two well-established businesses within our industry, a highly respected funeral directors and a large, established monumental masonry company.

For me personally, Dean, and for Hermitage Memorials, that means a great deal.

Over the years, there have been many ups and downs, and many times when I honestly questioned whether I could grow the business into what I always believed it could become.

There have been huge sacrifices, long days, late nights and a lot of hard work. But we kept going.

Today, it feels like Hermitage Memorials is on the right path — becoming recognised not only within our local community, but also by respected businesses within our own industry.

And while we continue to grow, one thing will always remain at the heart of what we do, the families and communities we have the privilege of helping.

Providing a caring, compassionate and personal service, with genuine understanding and respect, will always matter to us.

I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and grateful to everyone who has supported, trusted and believed in Hermitage Memorials along the way.

We’re proud to announce that restoration works have now commenced on the Men of War Memorial in Clare, Suffolk.

The first stage involves carefully removing the accumulated dirt, moss and overgrowth, followed by the installation of secure scaffolding around the monument to provide safe and proper access throughout the restoration.

The memorial will then receive a full, professional clean before we complete the final stage — carefully repainting and renewing the important inscriptions, restoring the monument’s dignity, clarity and appearance.

It is a privilege for Hermitage Memorials to be entrusted with the care and restoration of such an important local memorial.

We’ll be sharing the progress and transformation as the work continues.
