🚗 Today was about what the residents enjoy best.
One of our lovely gentlemen really enjoys cars so we went on community walk car spotting he loves telling me all the different makes and colours of cars he has such a passion for it. We then called in local shops he was happy choosing hotwheels in the local charity shop.
When we left the shops we called at the local garage where he has a great relationship with owner, he’s now following a restoration of an old Ford capri.
I actually love doing things like this that keeps there passions alive.
📕 Another gentleman has a passion for reading and writing it’s one of his favourite things to do he likes staff to sit write things down and he will read them back and sometimes copy underneath it. We then went out in the car he loves going anywhere for a drive out. We drove up Stanley crook and looked down in the valley the view was beautiful , we then called at Bishop for a spot of shopping.
The smiles say it all. Honestly true job satisfaction.
🃏 One of our ladies enjoys picture cards so we sat and matched pictures to words I wish I could show you her smiles they really would melt your heart.

Whether it’s a walk around the care village or around the village they have all enjoyed in their own way.. lots of smiles and laughter today.
