It's a new term and I'm looking forward to my online studio beginning again next week.
Having had a bit of a busy year, I realise I haven't been sharing or speaking about what the online sessions involve, so ...
On a Monday morning, I offer a vocal meditation class. It follows a similar pattern to a traditional yoga class, but for the voice.
Throughout the term, we explore different aspects of singing and toning, finding ways to experience and enjoy our voices in a way that offers soothing and restoration for both mind and voice.
Sometimes we focus on a chant, sometimes we use bija sounds, or vowels to improve our tone, to develop any singing technique we may be using, and to develop mindfulness skills.
It's a lovely way to start the week, and a very warm and inclusive group.
For the beginning of this term, we will be focusing on fullness of sound, how that might be felt and how to grow your inner sound.

Happy New Year Yogis. The start of a new term today, and my focus for January is self-care and support throughout these colder and darker months. There's a glimpse of sunshine here, after the snow fell yesterday. The blue sky is so welcome, and it's just gorgeous to see the fields dusted with crisp snow. But the coldness isn't fun, and causes our bodies to seize up, to huddle in on themselves, and our nervous system can read this as stress.
So I invite you to join me throughout January, to find warmth and ease on the mat, you'll need a blanket, and cosy socks, and if you have a pet, welcome them to snuggle up with you in the yoga nidra session at the end, to boost your oxytocin levels 🐱🐶 Details on the flyer below🌞❄️🩷🕉
