Walk with a Doc Salford

We had a wonderful walk today after braving the rain ☔️. The sun rewarded us with beautiful sights while still under our umbrellas 🌈 at times. We saw swans 🦢 shielding their heads from the rain then taking the babies out for the morning. We saw buckets of water fall only for it to evaporate under the warm sun beams again. It was delightful.

Thank you to all who came for the company and the education about the various birds 🪶 and plants. 🌱

Into June and there's still plenty going on 💙

Here's what's happening the week of 2nd–8th June across Walkden and Little Hulton 👇

💬 Tue 2nd - Talk About It Mate, 1–3 pm
Walkden Gateway, Smith Street, M28 3EZ. Sometimes you just need somewhere to go and someone to talk to. This is that.

📓 Wed 3rd - START Wings Group — Journalling, 1–3 pm
St Paul's, Walkden Moor, M28 3JR. If you've ever thought about journaling but never quite started - this is a gentle way in.

🌿 Thu 4th - Madamswood Litter Pick, 10 am–12 pm
Tao Temple, Heavenly City, Tian Cheng, M28 0JU. Get outside, do something good for the area, and feel better for it. Simple as that.

This is all part of 100 Days of free activity across Little Hulton and Walkden - a locally-led project, made by and for the people here.

Nature Photography session ! Saturday 16th May, join Jess to learn how to get the best from your smartphone and connect with nature ! you'll create some beautiful images of nature found in our garden and take home some prints to keep. Adults only, funded by Salford ICP via Salford CVS.

There is such an ethereal beauty to the snow and ice. We would have loved to have been out there tomorrow folks but given the weather warnings, we are choosing safety this time. We will post the snow day changed date soon!
