One of the things anxiety does best is convince us that every thought is important.
What if something goes wrong?
What if I've missed something?
What if I made the wrong decision?
And before we know it, we're stuck analysing, questioning and searching for answers.
But not every thought deserves your attention.
Not every worry needs investigating.
Not every "what if" needs solving.
Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is notice the thought, acknowledge it, and let it pass without engaging with it.
You don't have to argue with every anxious thought.
You don't have to prove it wrong.
You don't have to find the perfect answer.
You can simply let it be there and carry on with your day.
💙 A thought is not a fact.
💙 A thought is not a prediction.
💙 A thought is just a thought.
