A-level and other results are out, and many young people will be thinking about their next steps.

If you know a young person aged 16 to 24 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), a supported internship could help them develop the skills, confidence and experience needed for the world of work.

Supported internships combine learning with hand-on experience in a real workplace, supported by a job coach and tailored to the individual's needs.

Contact - For families with disabled children has updated it's advice to help parents and carers understand what extra support their child or young person should receive in mainstream school if they have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

It explains:
