Our Focus Group signup is Now Closed!

Wow… we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared our posts, liked them, tagged others, and helped spread the word. Your support has been incredible and shows just how important improving support for dads with babies receiving neonatal care is.

To everyone who has signed up to take part thank you! We can’t wait to work with you. Over the coming days we will be in touch with more information about the project and the next steps.

Your experiences, insights and voices will play a vital role in helping shape better support for fathers and families in partnership with Bliss

Thank you again for being part of this journey. Together, we’re making sure dads’ voices are heard.

"Because of Beth, I felt seen, heard, protected and safe." 💚

We're so proud to celebrate one of our brilliant midwives, Beth, who has become our latest DAISY Award Honouree.

An incredibly grateful mum wrote a stunning nomination which highlighted the incredible care which Beth provided, still recalling the "calm, measured voice, steady eye contact, and the way she held my hand" months later.

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that honours extraordinary nurses and midwives who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and compassion to patients and their families.

If you know someone who's made a difference to your care, you can nominate them on our website https://ow.ly/GZFQ50ZmpXx

🚨 International Fathers’ Mental Health Day 2026 🚨

We need to talk about something that still doesn’t get enough attention.

Too many dads are struggling quietly.

Fatherhood can be incredible.
It can also be exhausting, overwhelming, lonely, emotional and, at times, incredibly hard.

Yet many fathers tell us they feel they need to stay strong, keep going and put themselves last.

But here’s the reality:

Dad’s mental health doesn’t just affect dads.
It impacts partners. Relationships. Babies. Children. Families.

And the evidence continues to tell us this matters.

Around 1 in 10 new fathers experience depression.
Around 1 in 6 experience anxiety during the perinatal period.
Risk increases when their partner is struggling too.
Many fathers report feeling unsupported and unsure where to turn.

At Fatherhood Solutions, we hear this every single week.

Our own surveys found:

💬 77.8% of dads and birth partners said they needed more emotional support
💬 83.5% of mums and birthing people said their partner’s mental health had been affected
💬 84.9% said their own mental health had been affected
💬 99.2% said there still isn’t enough support available for dads and non-gestational parents

That isn’t about blame.

It’s a call to keep improving.

So what needs to happen?

✔️ Ask dads how THEY are doing
✔️ Include fathers in conversations and care
✔️ Build services that understand men’s experiences
✔️ Train workforces to engage and support dads
✔️ Create safe spaces where men can speak openly

To every dad reading this:

You don’t have to carry everything on your own.
You don’t have to earn support.
You don’t have to wait until breaking point.

And to everyone else

Check in with a dad today.

One conversation could make more difference than you realise.

Because when we support fathers, we strengthen families. 💙

Lovely walk in the beautiful sunshine this morning with our walk our good friend Ally from NCT parents in mind joined us making it a whole family offer.

5 mums, 9 dads, 8 children and my 2 grandchildren all coming together for good conversations, support, laughter and making memories. These moments really do matter fresh air, connection, the kids playing together, and even a cheeky ice cream stop to finish it off.

Sometimes the simplest mornings are the best ones. Grateful for good people and great company.
