We’ve had lots of phone calls asking whether we stock solar eclipse glasses. Unfortunately, we don’t.
Solar eclipse glasses need to come from a reputable seller and be properly certified and fit for purpose (iso code: 12312-2).
As far as we’re aware, they have largely sold out, so please don’t risk buying counterfeit or unsuitable glasses.
Our advice is simple: please do NOT look directly at the solar eclipse.
We completely understand how exciting this rare celestial event is, and there are some safe and fun ways to enjoy it instead:
🌑 Make a pinhole projector using a cardboard box there are plenty of easy tutorials online.
🥣 Use a kitchen colander with your back to the Sun, let the colander cast lots of tiny eclipses onto the ground. It’s like a celestial disco ball!
📺 Watch the coverage on TV safest of all and you won’t miss a thing.
Your eyes are incredibly complex, and damage to the retina can be permanent. Please don’t risk your vision for a few seconds of looking at the eclipse.
Stay safe, enjoy this incredible event and keep your eyes protected! 🌞🌑
