As part of Dementia Action Week, we’re sharing a week of resources, guidance and real-life stories about dementia.
Dementia isn’t a single illness; it’s a term used to describe a group of conditions that affect the brain.
It can impact memory, thinking, distressed response and the ability to carry out everyday tasks. For many people, it also changes how they experience and understand the world around them.
Dementia is progressive, which means symptoms can gradually worsen over time. But with the right care, support and understanding, people living with dementia can live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Let’s continue to raise awareness, reduce stigma and support those living with dementia. Share to help others understand dementia better.
