So turns out switching off for the summer means you nearly forget to tell everyone about the lovely family yoga session you’re running THIS WEEKEND! 😂

So… consider this your little reminder.

🌊 Family Yoga: Sandy Toes & Slow Flows 🌊

Join me this Sunday 30th August for an hour of calm, togetherness and connection as we escape to the beach for a little while.

We’ll move through a gentle, slow-flow yoga adventure inspired by sandy toes, ocean waves and that lovely end-of-summer feeling.

And then we’ll finish with something special — creating our own affirmation bracelets to take home and wear as a little reminder as we head into a new school year.

A reminder to move into September feeling.. Strong, focused & grounded 🧘🏽‍♀️

📍 Unit 5, Cornbow Shopping Centre, Halesowen
🕙 Sunday 30th August | 10–11am
🐝 £8 early bird

One little change to know about…

This will be the last family yoga session in this format.

From autumn, I’m taking Breathe with Bee in a new direction with seasonal family yoga adventures — fewer sessions, but bigger experiences, each inspired by the season and filled with yoga, mindfulness, creativity and connection.

So if you’ve been meaning to come along to one of these sessions… this is your last chance to experience this version 💛

Come and join me for one last Sandy Toes & Slow Flows before we turn the page and begin something new.

Book your place via the link in my bio ✨

People often assume I’m the teacher.

But every week, the children teach me too.

They remind me to laugh when something doesn’t go to plan. To celebrate tiny wins. To become completely absorbed in one simple activity. To make time for play. And that connection is always more important than perfection.

I started Breathe with Bee because I wanted to help children feel calmer, more confident and more connected.

I never expected they’d teach me just as much along the way 💛

The other week, I spent far longer than I’d like to admit organising these beads into perfect little sets…

…only to realise they were the wrong ones 😂

Running a small business is basically solving one tiny problem after another.

Years ago, I probably would’ve been really frustrated. These days, moments like this remind me that progress beats perfection every time. As a recovering perfectionist, that’s probably one of the biggest lessons this little business has taught me.

Thankfully, the children will never know. They’ll just leave with bracelets, smiles and happy memories.

Life is busy. Weekends quickly fill up with errands, screens and rushing from one thing to the next.

Our Sunday Family Yogis sessions are a chance to press pause.

✨ Move your bodies together
✨ Laugh through playful partner yoga
✨ Learn simple breathing tools to take home
✨ Create something mindful to remember the day
✨ Most importantly... enjoy uninterrupted time together.

You don't need any yoga experience—just come exactly as you are.

This month's Sandy Toes & Slow Flows theme is inspired by the calm feeling of being beside the sea, helping children (and grown-ups!) feel grounded, relaxed and connected before a new school year begins.

Because the moments children remember most aren't always the biggest adventures...
Sometimes they're simply the ones where you slowed down together 🐝

Over 10 years ago, when I first discovered yoga, I thought it was all about the poses.

Turns out, that's only one small part of it.

Yoga is also about kindness towards ourselves and others, breathing, focus, awareness, connection and learning to pause before we react.

That's why my classes don't just look like stretching. They look like bubbles, partner poses, balancing games, mindful colouring, breathing, giggles and moments of stillness.

The poses might be what people notice first, but it's everything else that keeps me coming back to yoga—and it's the part I love sharing with children most 💛🐝

A few weeks ago, a group of older children walked past while I was teaching, started chanting Om and burst into laughter.

It reminded me that yoga still has a bit of a funny reputation…

For a long time, I thought yoga was all about being flexible, sitting cross-legged and chanting too.

But yoga is so much more than that.

It’s an ancient practice that’s been helping people care for their minds and bodies for thousands of years. In fact, the poses are just one small part of yoga. At its heart, yoga is about how we breathe, how we connect with ourselves and others, how we respond to challenges, and how we move through life with a little more awareness and kindness ✨

That’s the yoga I fell in love with—and that’s the yoga I want children to experience.

The yoga I teach looks like laughter during a partner pose, bubbles that encourage slow breathing, lion roars to let out big feelings, games that build confidence, and moments of stillness when they’re needed most.

If a child leaves my class feeling a little calmer, a little braver, or a little more connected to themselves—and to the people around them…

…then that’s yoga to me 💛

Today I had the pleasure of welcoming Becky along to observe our family yoga session and what an honour it was to be asked 💛

Afterwards, we found ourselves talking about that feeling you get after delivering a session. The one that’s almost impossible to explain.

You watch families arrive carrying the weight and rush of the day. Then, almost like magic, the room begins to soften. Shoulders drop, faces ease, and laughter starts to ripple. Little hands find grown-up hands and connection replaces hurry.

By the end, it feels as though everyone has exhaled together. Children leave calmer and lighter, while parents carry a rare sense of pause—like they’ve been given permission to simply be, together.

It isn’t something a photo can truly capture, and it isn’t something words quite do justice.

It’s something you have to experience. ✨

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, August’s Family Yoga Adventure is now available to book. I’d love to welcome you and your little one along to experience that feeling together.

Because sometimes the greatest gift isn’t what you do for an hour—it’s how you both feel when you leave 💛

🫧 Watch closely… He isn’t just blowing bubbles. He’s slowing his breathing, focusing his attention and concentrating on one simple task.

Sometimes the simplest activities have the biggest impact 💛

One of the beautiful things about yoga is that no two poses ever look exactly the same.

Every child has a different body, different strengths, different challenges and a different story. So although they may all hear the same cues, each child will experience the pose in their own unique way.

That's why we spend less time worrying about what a pose looks like and more time noticing how it feels.

Does it feel steady? Strong? Comfortable? Can you breathe with ease?

Yoga isn't about creating perfect shapes. It's about building body awareness, confidence and trust in ourselves.

Because when children learn to listen to their own bodies instead of comparing themselves to others, that's where the real practice begins 💛🐝
