Partnership working at its best! 🤝✨

The FutureStrong Partnership CIC and Bright Hair have come together to create a supportive work experience agreement for one of our tenants, helping him build valuable workplace skills, confidence and independence in a safe and encouraging environment.

Pictured are our Operations Manager, Alix Baker, Bright Hair salon owner Karl Bright, and our tenant, all working together to create a clear plan that will support him in reaching his goals—and, eventually, achieving his dreams. 💙🧡

We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of the FutureStrong Partnership CIC family, Destiny Darkhill, who has joined us as one of our Personal Assistants!

Here’s a little bit about Destiny:

🕵️ Loves all things true crime.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Enjoys spending quality time with family.
🌊 A huge fan of open water swimming.
✨ Passionate about self-expression and encouraging people to embrace who they are.

Destiny brings a caring, positive, and authentic approach to her role. She believes in empowering people to be themselves, build confidence, and take positive steps towards greater independence. ☕ Monday Morning Team Meeting ☕

Every week starts with a team meeting, and today was no different.

This morning, our Operations Manager, Alix, led our weekly planning meeting, bringing the team together to discuss each of our tenants, review progress, identify any support needs, and plan the week ahead. These meetings are an important part of ensuring every tenant continues to receive consistent, person-centred support tailored to their individual goals.

It was also great to welcome some familiar and new faces around the table, with Lou, Paul, Mali and Destiny joining the discussion. Collaboration, communication and sharing ideas are at the heart of what we do, and it’s fantastic to see our team continuing to grow.

By working together, we can make sure every tenant has the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to move towards greater independence.

💧 Keeping our community hydrated in the heat! ☀️

With temperatures soaring, our Operations Manager, Alix, has been out and about today checking in on our clients, supporting our team, and making sure everyone stays safe and hydrated.

Armed with plenty of bottled water, Alix visited our supported accommodation, welfare checked on clients, handed out water to our staff and tenants, and even shared bottles with members of the local community who needed them.

Extreme heat can have a serious impact on health, especially for those who are vulnerable, so it’s important to look out for one another.

🌡️ Our top tips for staying safe in the heat:
💧 Drink water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🏠 Stay in the shade or indoors during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm).
👒 Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and protect yourself from the sun.
🤝 Check in on neighbours, friends, family members, and anyone who may need a little extra support.
🚨 If someone shows signs of heat exhaustion or heatstroke, seek medical advice immediately.

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness—like knocking on a door with a bottle of water—can make the biggest difference.

Our mentors spend their days supporting, encouraging and empowering others, often while travelling between appointments, attending community meetings and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that your wellbeing matters too.

💙 Stay hydrated
🧡 Take regular breaks
💙 Wear suitable clothing and sunscreen
🧡 Plan your day around the hottest times where possible
💙 Check in with colleagues and clients
🧡 Know the signs of heat exhaustion
