So this afternoon I went for my Urgent outpatient appointment at Gobowen Orthopedic hospital. My surgeon Mr Munigangaiah to discuss the findings of the recent MRI that found a Grade 1 anterolisthese at L4and L5 with a diffuse disc bulge causing Severe spinal canal stenosis. I've been told this surgery can be quite risky. Paralysis, Blood clot, worsening of the pain. Also because of my Addison's Disease it could cause an Adrenaline Crisis which in turn could put me in a coma and kill me. However the pain is so severe at the moment. That I'm lucky if I get an hours sleep a night. There's just No escape from this pain. Plus it could be 12 months before I can get the surgery done. That being said I'd booked myself a once in a lifetime holiday for this year. All booked and paid for. Prior to my consultation today. I thought maybe I can postpone it for another year. No such luck. I'd have to cancel and rebook. But too my horror I've been charged Β£598.98p for canceling the holiday. How On The Beach justifies those charges is beyond me. The holiday was for September so they've got ample time to resell it. But No they didn't care that it's for medical reasons that I've had to cancel. Seems like they can charge you that amount and not give it a second thought. So Don't book your holiday with On The Beach. Heaven forbid you have to cancel for whatever reason. You'd lose most of your monies. Anyways thats my update. For now. I just have to Try and cope with this pain as best as I possibly can. Until it's time for my surgery.
