Today is World Physical Therapy Day 🌍
This year’s theme highlights the important role regular physical activity and tailored exercise can play in reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes, managing long term health conditions and supporting recovery.
But physical activity doesn’t look the same for everyone.
For someone living with a neurological condition or recovering from a stroke or brain injury, exercise may need to be adapted around changes in strength, balance, coordination, movement, fatigue or mobility.
That’s where physiotherapy can make a real difference.
Our NeuroAbility physios work with each person to find exercises and activities that are safe, achievable and relevant to their own goals. That could mean working towards standing, improving transfers, building strength, practising walking or finding ways to stay active from a wheelchair or chair.
Today we’re also celebrating the brilliant physiotherapists behind NeuroAbility and the knowledge, creativity and encouragement they bring to rehabilitation every day.
Because being physically active isn’t about doing what everyone else can do.
It’s about finding what works for you.
