Coming Out Of The Blue

Coming Out Of The Blue We support people taking control of their own well being I trained as a Montessori Nursery Teacher and lived and worked in the Middle East for 13 years.

Where do I start................................

I would say my childhood was caring and fun, nothing out of the norm particularly. On returning to England, I retrained in AAT and Financial Management and after several financial positions within large international companies, latterly as a Business Analyst, I made the decision to become self employed in 2000 after qualifying as an AOR Reflexologi

st and Usui Reiki Teacher. Alongside my holistic business I was a founding owner and director of a successful flying school on the south coast. My change in career direction was stimulated after my father died in 1998 and it was around this time I became aware of the work of Louise L. Hay and other like-minded teachers. All these teachers offered me the opportunity to grow through the power of positive loving thoughts and have had a huge impact on the way I view the world today. It enabled me to explore how my personal thoughts and feelings affected me physically and emotionally. How old beliefs and thoughts were not necessarily supporting me anymore and for me it was important to seek resolution. I am very proud to be a Licensed Heal Your Life® Trainer and Coach, offering 121 coaching and facilitating workshops empowering others to review life from a different perspective. I have two adult children whom I’m exceptionally proud and as the years progress have become more aware of what amazingly powerful, loving and sensitive human beings they are - I am truly blessed to have them in my life. They are both happily married now with children of their own. They and other family and friends have honoured me with immense love and support especially since my husband died in an aircraft accident in 2008, which was just 14 months after my sisters' unexpected death after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Six months later the family experienced the tragic murder of my cousin's 15 year old daughter by a boy from her school. The whole family has been through a lot of soul searching and grieving, whilst supporting each other, and for me there has been a great deal of emotional ‘letting-go’ since those dark years and at times it has been hard not to be burdened on my next step forward, but now I smile a lot more and see joy and happiness everywhere. I believe it is important to remember how wonderful life is and that everything we experience in our lives contributes to our personal growth, even when there are aspects of perceived horrid stuff. How we choose to deal with this ‘horrid stuff’ is our choice. It is within our power to do something positive about whatever comes our way and to see the joy life has on offer. I do not look to solve other people's problems in life, however, I do believe the tools I teach support the way we approach the challenges that life inevitably brings. There are many more people in this world who have also suffered the loss of someone special in their lives and I am nothing special in that concern, however, I do feel blessed with my life lessons and I now feel honoured to be able to share the skills I have learnt along the way. Going through grief, adversity and my determination to develop, I now view life as effortlessly as I possibly can, whilst remaining in a space of peace, joy and happiness. This is why I am now on a personal mission to help others find that within them too. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you love and joy in your life.

✨ What if all your health and wellbeing questions could be explored in one place?

Sometimes we don't know where to turn.

You may have been told, "You'll just have to live with it."

Perhaps you're curious about complementary therapies but aren't sure where to start.

Or maybe you simply want to understand what other support is available alongside conventional healthcare.

That's exactly why Coming Out Of The Blue was created.

This isn't just another exhibition.

It's a day where experienced practitioners come together to help bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and complementary therapies, giving you the opportunity to explore natural approaches, ask questions without pressure, and discover what might work for you.

💙 Sunday 4th October 2026
📍 The Charmandean Centre, Forest Road, Worthing BN14 9HS
🕙 10.00am – 4.00pm
🎟️ Entry £5

During the day you'll be able to:

🌿 Meet experienced practitioners from a wide range of therapies and wellness professions.

💬 Enjoy relaxed conversations and ask the questions you've always wanted to ask.

🎤 Listen to informative talks and watch live demonstrations.

🛍️ Browse wellbeing products, natural remedies and services that could support your health journey.

Most importantly, you'll discover how different approaches can work together, not against each other.

Whether you're living with a long-term condition, looking for ways to reduce stress, wanting to improve your overall wellbeing, or simply curious about holistic health, we'd love to welcome you.

Because better wellbeing starts with understanding your options.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 4th October.

💬 Met someone at Coming Out Of The Blue and can't remember their name?

We've all done it!

You have a lovely conversation, pick up a few leaflets... then a few days later you think,

"Who was that herbalist?"
"I'd love to contact that reflexologist."
"Which stand was the nutritionist on?"

That's exactly why we've created our website.

You'll find details of the exhibitors and practitioners attending each event, along with information about what they do and how you can get in touch. Scan the QR code for the website.

It's also where you'll find information about future exhibitions and the story behind Coming Out Of The Blue and our mission of Bridging the Gap.

Because the conversations don't have to end when the exhibition closes.

💙 Have you ever wondered who is behind Coming Out Of The Blue?

Every exhibition starts with a vision.

For Kathy and Trevor, that vision has always been about bringing people together, encouraging conversations, and helping to bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and complementary therapies.

Our new website shares more about who they are, why the exhibitions began, and what continues to inspire them to create these events.

You'll also find details of upcoming exhibitions, our wonderful exhibitors, and the practitioners who generously share their knowledge with visitors throughout the day.

Have you seen Pauline of Be Well QiGong of Worthing at our events?
https://bewellqigong.co.uk/

Qigong is a gentle movement practice which combines light flowing movements, breath and mental focus to cultivate and bring energy to the body, promoting relaxation, balance, health and wellbeing. It has become popular in recent years as a low impact exercise, and also a form of moving meditation and appeals to those wanting to keep their mind and body healthy and well.

What are the benefits?
Qigong offers many physical, mental and emotional health benefits, often noticeable after just a few sessions. From physical improvements in joint flexibility, muscle strength, balance, injury recovery and overall fitness to relieved tension, stress relief, increased relaxation and improved concentration. In essence, it is a super power in rejuvenating mind, body and spirit.

“I honour myself with kindness, one smile at a time.”

Here’s a simple practice with powerful impact:
Smile at yourself each time you pass a mirror.

No judgment. No checking flaws. Just a soft, knowing smile.

💛 A smile says I see you.
💛 A smile says you’re doing your best.
💛 A smile says you’re enough, just as you are.

This gentle act can shift your mindset, calm your nervous system, and build self-compassion—one glance at a time.

✨ Try it for a few days and notice how you feel.
