Cavapoo Milo finished his physiotherapy treatment yesterday!
Milo had ventral slot surgery back in January to relieve pressure on the spinal cord in his neck after he was diagnosed with cervical intervertebral disc disease.
Milo’s physio treatment consisted of massage and stretching to relieve compensatory muscle tightness, laser therapy to aid healing and provide pain relief and home exercises to build strength and improve mobility.

Two cute faces to end the week - Willow and Arlo 🐶

Little Willow is just 1 year old and had to have surgery to resolve chronic hip luxation involving the removal of the top of the femur. Since her surgery, Willow has been doing physiotherapy to help improve her comfort and mobility and having regular hydrotherapy sessions. This, alongside her home exercise plan, has helped to build muscle mass and strength in the leg to support the hip.
Willow’s brother Arlo also loves coming along to sessions and enjoys a fuss at any opportunity!

Sydney the Jack Russell began physiotherapy at the start of the year after having surgery for ruptured cruciate ligaments in both of his back legs last year.
Whilst Sydney had been recovering well, his owner felt he needed a bit of extra help regaining his strength and improving his comfort and mobility.
Sydney has made great progress since he started his treatment and is now back to being the active little dog he was before.

This lovely labrador is Rosie.
Poor Rosie suffered from a condition called Fibrocartaginous Embolism (FCE), resulting in partial paralysis of the left front and back legs, leaving her unable to stand or walk. This is caused when blood vessels to a portion of the spinal cord become blocked, leaving the spinal cord deprived of oxygen and nutrients.
Rosie has been having physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to help her regain strength, coordination and mobility and to treat any compensatory issues. Rosie has shown some great improvement over the last few weeks and is continuing to get stronger.
