Five days to go, so let's hear about the five Folklorists on the Folklore Rise at Rooksfest 2026!

Craig Hallam is a local Doncaster author who is debuting his new trilogy at the event and will be doing a talk about local myths!

Whitby Krampus Run will have a few of their volunteers with us to talk about the work they do, what krampus is and genuinely are the loveliest people!

The Midsommars are an ethereal vocal harmony group who will be performing and bringing a sense of elegant Witchery to the day.

Ravens Coven Dancing Witches are a groovy group of musical Witches who will be bringing a sense of joy and whimsy and will be performing.

Brookes Paranormal are joining us to talk about local hauntings, the ghost hunts they do and will be all ears to yiur experiences and other locations they can investigate.

You can find all these inside the Corn Exchange on the left hand side balcony as you walk in.

Hi there guys!

So the wonderful designer and friend of mine, Kyle, has sadly suffered a break-in and had all his DJ equipment stolen.

He organises a alt night out in Doncaster called 86 events and makes nothing from them, does it so us weird folk have somewhere to enjoy our music.

Kyle has designed the new roller banner you'll see on Saturday and designed the Rooksfest 2026 posters.

He's set up a gofundme to help replace his stolen equipment, so if anyone can help out with anything, it would be greatly appreciated. No matter how small, it will all help.

If you're not in a position to be able to help, don't worry and I apologise if being unable to help upsets you.

Small Business Shoutout

7 Sins Crystals

Lucy from 7 sins is a gem in her own right and sells absolutely gorgeous crystals!

She is always a pleasure to chat to at events and I believe we share a lot of the same values. Her crystal stock, not ashamed to say it, is much better than mine and I've mentally opened 400 credit cards and taken out 17 loans to buy some of her gorgeous crystals, so definitely check her out!

Random, well not so random, but still. Random question for you all.

If we were to do a live clearance sale from this page, would anyone be interested in it? We've seen others do it and have always wondered. We have so many random bits we want to clear out, and we always want to try new things.

We would be selling crystal mystery bags, jewellery, oddments from the business and anyone who buys something from us will be entered into a raffle for a free online reading.

Goth and witch market to be held at Doncaster's Corn Exchange

So we made it to the other end of a 3 event weekend!

Been rather tired but it has been worth it to see how we can broaden Moonsea's horizons, catch up with Moonsea trader family and generally cause hijinx.

This week we have two events.

One of them is a private event, but I'd like to extend my thanks to the organisers of this to keep having us.

On Saturday, I am doing my first workshop on Runecasting at Bentley Spiritualist Church. This will be teaching people how to read the Elder Futhark alphabet, how to read for others and how to look into their own intuition to be able to intuit meanings from the runes.

This Sunday we're off, but we might nip to a craft fair as Lee and Rick if we fancy it. We might just stay at home and vegetate though. WHO KNOWS!
