He built the Kano Groundnut Pyramids & dealt in kolanuts. Each pyramid had 15,000 filled bags.
He was a supplier to British trading companies.

Alhassan Dantata opened an account with British Bank of West Africa (now First Bank) with 20 camel-loads of silver coins in Kano, Nigeria in 1929

His great grandson, Aliko Dangote is the World's Richest Black Man.
