STOP USING GOD TO VALIDATE FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS

One thing that deeply concerns me today is how casually people use the name of God to predict football matches and sporting events.

Every day we hear:
“God revealed to me this team will win.”
“God showed me the exact score.”
“God told me this player will score.”

Then when the prediction fails, another explanation is given. When it succeeds, a video is quickly circulated as proof of spiritual power.

But let us be honest with ourselves.

The Supreme Lord, who governs countless universes, who sustains all living beings, who oversees the laws of karma, righteousness, and spiritual evolution, is not occupied with helping people gamble on football matches.

Football is a game. It is a sport. It is entertainment. Like every competitive activity, it involves preparation, strategy, skill, teamwork, determination, luck, and circumstances. Sometimes the strongest team loses. Sometimes the underdog wins. That is the nature of sport.

What worries me is the increasing tendency to attach God’s name to personal opinions, guesses, and predictions. In doing so, many people are not glorifying God; they are simply seeking attention, influence, followers, and validation.

True spirituality is meant to elevate humanity, guide people toward self-realization, compassion, truthfulness, discipline, and God-consciousness. It is not a tool for predicting football scores.

If God chooses to reveal something, it should inspire transformation, wisdom, righteousness, and spiritual awakening not merely tell us who will win a match.

Let us respect the sacredness of God’s name.

Not every thought is a revelation.
Not every feeling is a prophecy.
Not every prediction is divine communication.

May we focus more on spiritual growth than sensationalism, more on truth than popularity, and more on serving God than using God to serve our egos.
