You are not the same person you were last year.
Think about that for a moment.
The things you know now that you did not know then. The experiences that changed you. The ways you have grown, even in the hard moments. Especially in the hard moments.
Growth is always happening. Even when you cannot see it.

It does not always feel dramatic. Sometimes it is quiet. Subtle. A shift in how you see yourself or the world.
But it is real. And you are not who you were.
What is one way you have grown in the past year?

You are not alone. You are able.

Welcome to ABLE Talks, where Leon and Ama sit down over a cup of tea and say the things we usually keep to ourselves. ☕

In episode one, one of them admits something a lot of us can relate to: everyone assumes they’re always fine. It’s become their “setting.” The other asks the question that changes the conversation: is it, though? Or is that just the version people get to see?

If you’re the friend who keeps things light and holds the room together, this one’s for you. Nobody signed you up for that job. And if it feels like you signed yourself up, you’re allowed to step back from it.

Okay is allowed. You don’t have to sparkle to belong.

Tag someone who’s always “fine” and might need to hear this. 💛

Every young person has a light inside them.
Sometimes it shines brightly and everyone can see it.
And sometimes because of pressure, pain, comparison or confusion, it gets harder to find.
But it is always there.
The light is there. Sometimes you just need help finding it.
That is what the right support, the right relationships and the right tools can do. Not create the light. Just help you find your way back to it.

Who helped you find your light? Or who are you helping right now?

You are not alone. You are able.

Ever turned up somewhere and the way in just wasn't built for you?

Emma didn't give up. She found another way in, held the door open, and that side entrance ended up being everyone's way in.

Sometimes the path you have to find for yourself turns out to help everyone else too. Your way of doing things isn't "less than". It might be exactly what others need.

Social media shows you what people want you to see.
The highlights. The best moments. The carefully chosen angles.
Are you comparing your real life to someone else's highlight reel?
Because that comparison is never fair. You are seeing their best against your everything. Their edited against your unfiltered.
No one's life looks like their Instagram. Not even yours.
Real life is messier, harder and more beautiful than any feed. And your real life , with all its imperfections is worth more than any number of likes.

What is something real and beautiful in your life right now?

You are not alone. You are able.

We treat "it didn't work" and "it was a bad idea" like they're the same thing. They're not.

Noah's first version completely failed — not almost, not close, just didn't work. But instead of scrapping the whole idea, he wrote down exactly what broke. Version two worked because version one showed him where to look.

That's the part nobody puts in the highlight reel: the failure isn't separate from the success. It's usually the first draft of it.

What's something you got completely wrong — and what did it end up teaching you?

When did you last sit with your own thoughts?
No screen. No music. No background noise.
Just you.
It sounds simple. But for most young people, and most adults, it is one of the hardest things to do.
We are not used to silence. It can feel uncomfortable at first. But in that quiet is where you find yourself. Your real thoughts. Your real feelings. The things that matter most to you.

That quiet is not empty. It is full of you.

Try it today. Even just for five minutes. What do you find?

You are not alone. You are able.

We build the "reaching out" moment up so much bigger in our heads than it ever turns out to be in real life.

Layla spent two weeks rehearsing what she'd say, deleting draft after draft, waiting for the perfect line. Turns out she didn't need one — just an honest one. "I miss talking to you" did more work than any carefully worded apology could have.

Most reconnections don't need a perfect message. They just need a first one.

Is there someone you've been overthinking a text to — and what's stopping you? Tell us below. 👇

The ability to be still with yourself is a superpower.
In a world designed to distract, knowing your own mind changes everything.
We fill every quiet moment with a screen, a sound, a scroll. And in doing so, we lose touch with the most important relationship we have — the one with ourselves.
Stillness is not empty. It is where clarity lives. Where you hear your own thoughts. Where you figure out what you actually want, feel and need.
This week, try one minute of quiet. No phone. No noise. Just you.

What do you notice?

You are not alone. You are able.
