Ghana Medical Trust Fund, MDS- Lancet Laboratories GH Ltd & Quest Medical Imaging Sign Strategic Partnership to Improve Access to Quality Diagnostic Healthcare
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has signed a landmark partnership agreement with MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging, marking a significant step towards expanding access to quality diagnostic services and strengthening healthcare delivery across Ghana.
The partnership brings together the Ghana Medical Trust Fund’s mandate to support the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imagine, expertise in delivering world-class medical diagnostic services.
Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to improve access to timely, accurate, and reliable diagnostic testing, ensuring better health outcomes for patients nationwide.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, described the agreement as a milestone in the Trust Fund’s efforts to build strategic partnerships that enhance healthcare delivery.
“Today marks a significant milestone as the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, MDS Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging formally establish a partnership that reflects our shared commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for the people of Ghana. Accurate and timely diagnostics are the cornerstone of effective treatment, and this collaboration represents an important investment in the health and wellbeing of Ghanaians.”
She expressed appreciation to the leadership for their confidence in the partnership and reaffirmed GMTF’s commitment to working collaboratively to address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases.
The Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Paul Sekyere-Nyantakyi, welcomed the partnership, noting that it aligns with the organisation’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality diagnostic services that support improved patient care across Ghana.
The agreement underscores a shared vision to strengthen Ghana’s healthcare system by leveraging innovation, expertise, and strategic collaboration. It is expected to improve access to diagnostic services, facilitate early detection of diseases, and support more effective clinical decision-making, particularly for patients living with chronic and non-communicable diseases.
