She says she didn’t just give in — her pastor had told her in a prophecy that “a white man will marry you.” So when the Russian guy showed interest, she thought the prophecy was coming true.

But this shows a bigger problem.
Many churches today focus too much on prosperity messages and marriage prophecies, instead of teaching wisdom and common sense.

Because of this, young people easily trust anything that looks like “God’s blessing,” even when it’s dangerous.

The girl is not foolish — she is a victim of a system where pastors promise quick miracles, quick marriages, and quick breakthroughs.

If our pastors spent more time teaching people to think, to be careful, and to value themselves, stories like this wouldn’t happen.

Until the church stops pushing these prosperity-style messages, more young people will continue to fall for lies in the name of prophecy..
