*Advancing Mental Health Awareness Through Collaboration and Advocacy*
In our quest to advance mental health awareness through advocacy across Northern Ghana and the country as a whole, Total Life Enhancement Centre Ghana- TOLEC GH - Total Life Enhancement Centre Ghana (TOLECGH) had the privilege of engaging with students of Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO) in the Upper East Region.
This impactful programme was organised in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), Upper East Region, under the theme:
“The Journey to a Bright Future: Actions, Inactions and the Role of Drugs.”
The event brought together experienced professionals who shared valuable insights with the students.
The Upper East Regional Guidance and Counselling Coordinator delivered an inspiring presentation on “Choosing Wisely Today, Securing Your Future Tomorrow,” encouraging students to make informed decisions that will positively shape their future.
Representatives from NACOC educated students on the mandate of the Commission, its roles in combating drug abuse, and the support services available to individuals and communities.
TOLECGH, led by our Executive Director, passionately highlighted the importance of mental health, the effects of substance abuse on mental well-being, and the various support services available to those in need. Students were encouraged to seek help early and to prioritise their mental health as an essential part of their overall well-being.
The programme was a testament to the power of partnership and collaboration in addressing critical issues affecting young people.
Together, we are empowering the next generation with knowledge, awareness, and the tools needed to make positive life choices.
We extend our appreciation to GES, NACOC, NAVASCO, and all stakeholders who contributed to the success of this important engagement.
Together, we can build a healthier, drug-free, and mentally resilient future for our young people.
