Condom vending machines at key public locations mean people can obtain condoms quickly, privately, and whenever they need them. This simple innovation can increase consistent condom use, reduce new HIV infections, and promote responsible s*xual health practices.

Kudos to the Ghana AIDS Commission for this forward-thinking initiative, which brings HIV prevention closer to the people and strengthens Ghana's commitment to ending HIV.

HIV transmission from men to women remains high, but together we can change the story through prevention, regular testing, and open conversations.

These figures reflect the reality on the ground, but only among those who have taken the step to know their status by visiting a health facility or using an HIV self-test kit. Many others may be living with HIV without knowing it.

Get tested. Know your status.

In today's , staying safe is just as important as staying safe .

A strong password, a moment to verify a suspicious message, or choosing not to share sensitive information can make all the difference.

isn't just for experts, it's a responsibility we all share.

Take a few extra seconds before you click. Those few seconds could save you from fraud, identity theft, or losing your personal information.

45 people a day. Not a typo. Not "back in the day." TODAY. In Ghana. While you're out here trusting vibes over condoms.
68.5% of new infections are women β€” because apparently "he looked clean" is still
someone's testing method. πŸ™„

Newsflash: HIV doesn't check your relationship status, your Instagram bio, or how "in love" you are. It checks for skin-to-skin contact and bad decisions.
So here's your options, and there's really only three:
🚫 Abstain β€” wild concept, still works
βœ… Condom. Every. Single. Time. Not "most times." EVERY time.
πŸ’― One partner. Actually faithful. Not "faithful when I feel like it.

Your body isn't a group chat. Stop adding random members!

According to our data, 45 people contract HIV every day in Ghana, with women accounting for 68.5% of new infections and men 31.5%. This shows that HIV infections are disproportionately affecting women in Ghana.

1,145 new HIV infections in just five months and that is only in the Bono Region.

What about people who haven't tested yet? What about the Northern, Eastern, Central, and North-East Regions? The real numbers could be much higher.

Know your status. Get tested regularly, use condoms consistently, and never share sharp objects like blades or needles.

The Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) has disclosed that Bono Region recorded 1,145 new HIV infections between January and May 2026.

Concerns over shortages of antiretroviral drugs and testing supplies highlight the need for continued access to essential HIV services, including treatment and oral HIV self-test kits.
Any disruption to these services can delay diagnosis, interrupt treatment, and affect efforts to prevent new HIV infections.

If you need information, support, or an HIV self-test kit, you can visit the Savana Signatures office to access one.

The SHE+ Helpline is also available to provide confidential, non-judgmental support on HIV and other health realted issues.

His concerns come as the Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism warns that Ghana's stock of oral and blood-based HIV testing kits could be exhausted by the end of July this year.

We are about to run short of HIV test kits.

So if "we'll test later" was your plan, you might want to rethink your s*x life instead.
Desire lasts a moment. HIV can last a lifetime.

Choose wisely!!

Ghana risks a looming nationwide shortage of essential HIV testing commodities, both oral and blood-based kits by the end of July, raising concerns about possible disruptions to early diagnosis and treatment programmes if urgent measures are not taken.
