๐ฉธ Healthy Communities, Strong Nation: Empowering Medical Students to Drive Change
On 22 July 2026, the Family Health University Medical Studentsโ Association (FHU MSA), as part of its Medical Studentsโ Association Week celebration themed โHealthy Communities, Strong Nation: Empowering Medical Students to Drive Change,โ demonstrated that medical education goes beyond the classroomโit is also about compassion, service, and community impact.
In collaboration with the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (GARH) Paediatric Oncology Department and Cure Childhood Cancer Ghana (CCCG), the association organised a blood donation drive to support children receiving care at the Paediatric Oncology Unit. ๐ฉธโค๏ธ
The FHU MSA also made a generous GHS 5,000 donation to the CCCG account to support patient care and donated boxes of sanitary pads to adolescent girls on the Paediatric Ward. These thoughtful contributions will help address practical needs and support the wellbeing and treatment journey of children and families affected by childhood cancer.
We are deeply grateful to the Family Health University Medical Studentsโ Association for choosing to serve, give, and make a meaningful difference. Your generosity reminds us that when we come together, healthy communities truly build strong nations. ๐๐พ๐
You can also make a difference in the life of a child with cancer. Your donation can help support patient care and provide essential assistance to children and families navigating childhood cancer.
