Η «Μελέτη Μητέρας—Παιδιού Κρήτης, ΡEA» είναι η πρώτη και η μοναδική μελέτη μητέρας-παιδιού που πραγματοποιείται στην Ελλάδα και περιλαμβάνει μητέρες και τα παιδιά τους από νομό Ηρακλείου. Τα παιδιά που συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα γεννήθηκαν το 2007-2008 και μέχρι σήμερα έχουν λάβει μέρος σε πολλαπλές παρακολουθήσεις από την περίοδο της εγκυμοσύνης και κατά την παιδική ηλικία.

Μέσα από την ενεργή συμμετοχή των μελών της μελέτης έχουν συλλεχθεί πληροφορίες για σημαντικό αριθμό εκθέσεων, όπως περιβαλλοντικοί ρύποι, ατμοσφαιρική ρύπανση, διατροφή, αλλά και πληροφορίες για την σωματική και νοητική υγεία των παιδιών.
