【A Tale of Three Full Moons: Michael Jackson】

What in Michael Jackson’s natal chart indicates his enormous talent? And which timing factors coincided with his rise to global stardom?

For this topic, I've recently written an article for The Faculty of Astrological Studies in the UK. It traces three pivotal Full Moons in his life: https://astrology.org.uk/a-tale-of-three-full-moons-michael-jackson/

(Note: Actually, there was a 4th Full Moon! Details are in the comments too)

In researching into MJ’s life, I’ve drawn up charts for various important moments in his life to see if those coincided with any New/Full Moon or Eclipse.

Interestingly, there didn’t seem to be any significant New Moon or Solar Eclipse associated with his major life events…

What about you? Do you recall any New/Full Moon or Eclipse that happened very close to major milestones in your life?

【On Astrology & AI: My interview published】

Recently I was interviewed by my hometown’s leading English-language media outlet, South China Morning Post, to talk about "Astrology and AI".

The article featured three practitioners: I was the only Western astrologer. The other two came from Chinese metaphysics. Link to the full article is in the comments.

Ever since ChatGPT became widely available several years ago, I’ve been thinking a great deal about this topic….

Personally, I use AI mainly for research (especially in Mundane Astrology), translation and as a sounding board.

Pretty much like everyone else, I’ve also tested AI on chart interpretation — not full charts, but specific placements like “Venus in Aquarius in 1st square Pluto in Scorpio in 10th.”

What I’ve noticed is that the more powerful the AI model, the more it tends to OVER-INTERPRET!! It tries to be too clever and ends up making things up, going far beyond what the placement can reasonably describe!

Still, whether we like it or not, I think AI is here to stay. The real question is how we can turn it into a genuinely useful tool for astrology.

What are your thoughts? Have you come up with a creative use of AI for astrology? Share in comments below!

【The July “Cradle”: How big do you dare to dream?】

Right now we’re experiencing an extremely rare, trapezoid-like aspect pattern among Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - all clustered around 4° in the signs they occupy (see chart in the pic).

I usually call this planetary pattern the “Cradle,” but this particular one is now more commonly known as the “Barbault Basket,” a term only recently coined after the famous French astrologer André Barbault, who passed away in 2019 (how this term came about is a long story in itself!).

There have been countless interpretations of what this Cradle might mean, some very optimistic, some ominous, for the world.

Politically, economically and especially when it comes to military conflicts, I’m not optimistic at all. I believe tensions will escalate, at least in the short-term.

But here’s how I think we can best use this complex planetary energy: Dream as big as possible about the kind of world we want have in the future!!

Because whatever destruction this Cradle unleashes (after all, Jupiter is opposite Pluto), humanity will urgently need a new vision, a shared consensus of what the future should look like. Implementation will come at a later time, with another planetary energy.

Of course, dreams don’t always materialize, and reality may differ significantly from the original vision. But that doesn’t matter. The bigger the dream, the greater the chance of real change.

So this Cradle is the time for big dreams, rising from the ruins of today!

My dream is: All wars will one day be completely banned!! Mutual destruction is nothing but a wasteful farce, and we’ve seen far too much of that in recent years. Enough is enough, really!!

What about you? What’s your dream for the world? Share in the comments below!

【Pope Leo XIV’s rectified birth chart & a major crisis】

A big news for the Catholic Church is that the ultra-conservative Society of St. Pius X went ahead with a ceremony to ordain its own bishops at its seminary in Econe, Switzerland on July 1, despite warnings from Pope Leo not to do it (as ordaining bishops is exclusively the right of the Vatican).

I’ve found the exact time when the ceremony began and input the coordinates for the seminary manually for the chart (see the standalone chart in comments).

We don’t know Leo’s birth time at all. But soon after his election last year, I did a very preliminary rectification for him (12.35pm).

It’s just now when I looked at the chart again that I realised the MC-IC is at Aries 4 and transiting Neptune is right on it!!

This means if he were indeed born around 12.35pm, he’d be directly impacted by the extremely rare “cradle” among Jupiter and the three outers which is tightening.

Although this is not the first time the Society has defied the Vatican, I think this time will have long-term ramifications because of the planetary lineup.

【Chiron’s Wounds: Always “Unfair”?】

In the myth about Chiron, he was wounded because an arrow that was meant for someone else hit his leg and the wound never healed. His pain was the "collateral damage" caused by someone else's mistake, and so it was deeply unfair.

OK, that’s the mythology. What about Chiron's transits in real life? Are the wounds always unfair too? Do the people involved deserve much better treatment?

Below are two individuals’ natal charts and their transits when a deeply wounding event happened.

Notice that in both charts, transiting Chiron was tightly conjunct an angle (MC or DSC) in the natal charts and indeed both events were deeply humiliating for the two individuals.

Who are they? And what are the events that inflict such pain on them?
Person A: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince

Event: When his brother King Charles announced stripping his royal titles because of Andrew’s repeated lies about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein (25 Oct 2025)

Person B: Michael Jackson

Event: When he was strip-searched by police as part of the criminal investigation into sexual abuse allegations made by the teenage boy Jordan Chandler (20 Dec 1993). He said the police had also taken pix of his private parts. A couple of days later Jackson made a TV statement to condemn it all and called it “the most humiliating ordeal of my life”

I always use Chiron in astrology, but I’ve observed over and over again that the conventional interpretation of Chiron is perhaps a bit over-idealistic.

Sure, the individual’s SUBJECTIVE perception about the event is always extremely negative. It’s painful, humiliating, insulting, discriminatory, etc for them.

However, OBJECTIVELY speaking, does this mean they don’t deserve it at all? That it’s always “unfair”? I think sometimes it’s fair, sometimes it’s unfair. It really differs from case to case, and we as astrologers should be a bit more clear-eyed about it.

As both examples used here are public figures, I’m sure different people will have different opinions about whether they were treated fairly or not.

I just hope this post will stimulate reflections and discussions about the nature of Chiron’s wounds! What are your thoughts?

【Aries stellium in April 2026】

I’ve seen many astrology posts on social media that talked about this “multi-planet stellium in Aries” as if it were going to be “Doomsday”! 😓😓😓

Let’s look at the facts first: When the Moon enters Aries today (April 15, 10:04am, US Eastern time) until it leaves on April 17 (11:58am), there will be seven planets in Aries. On top of the Moon, there will also be Mercury, Neptune, Mars, Saturn, the Sun, and Chiron.

However, since the Sun and Chiron are pretty far away from the other five, they can’t really be considered as part of the “stellium”. The Sun-Chiron conjunction is more like leading a “separate life” in Aries, and in any case, the Sun will leave Aries on April 20.

Actually, it’s not that unusual to see multiple planets in the same sign in recent years. One of the most striking examples was the New Moon on the Chinese New Year’s Day in 2021 (see chart in the comments).

At that time, six planets formed a super-stellium in Aquarius and Pluto, being in late-Capricorn, was close enough to be counted in as well!

That period also coincided with Saturn squaring Uranus and sextile Chiron at the same time. As if all these weren’t explosive enough, the super Aquarian stellium also squared Mars in Ta**us!!

The whole configuration was definitely a lot more powerful than what we’re going to have in April - and yet neither World War 3 nor Doomsday happened then!! 🤣🤣🤣

Understandably people are particularly concerned this time because of the ongoing war in Iran (and Lebanon, etc).

Between April 16 to 20, Mercury and Mars will be conjunct Neptune and Saturn one by one, then conjunct each other, all against the backdrop of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and the Saturn-Pluto sextile.

I think this period will bring lots of “uncertain or misleading statements,” alongside with “verbal abuse, fierce criticisms and rows, severe threats, ultimatums, deadlines”, etc.

The current ceasefire happens to expire on April 21, so we can expect both sides will try to exert “maximum pressure” to force the other side to cave in to their demands in ending the war.

However, whatever threats they make, I think deep down neither side wants to keep fighting (except for Israel). So this is going to be “who will chicken out first”!!! 😅😅😅

Let’s hope Peace will return to the world soon!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

【War on Iran: Strait of Hormuz】

The US began its Operation Epic Fury against Iran on Feb 28, 1.15am Eastern Time.

If we relocate that chart to the narrowest point in the Strait of Hormuz (I’ve used the precise coordinates to set the following chart), we can easily why it’s such a point of contention in this war. Note how Pluto is tightly conjunct the MC!

As for how this will develop, note when the following aspects will become exact to the radix chart (in Iran’s time):

March 16: Uranus square r.Mars

March 17: Neptune conjunct r.Saturn

March 23: Saturn sextile r.Pluto

March 26: Saturn semi-square r.Asc

April 2: Uranus sextile r.Moon

April 3: Saturn sextile r. MC

May 7: Jupiter sextile r. Asc

This war began when Saturn was tightly conjunct Neptune in Aries (hence “the blockage of waterway because of war”!).

However, by April 20, transiting Saturn would’ve moved away from transiting Neptune for 5 degrees. I think we’d have seen a significant ease of tension for the strait by then. Probably more ships will be allowed to pass?

And the best indicator is May 7, when Jupiter exactly sextiles the Asc… Re-opening then??

Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

【War on Iran: Official launch time, 1.15am ET】

Have found the official announcement from the US Central Command for the start of the operation: 1.15am US Eastern Time! (See comments for the link).

1.15am ET means:
In Jerusalem: 8.15am
In Tehran: 9.45am

As missiles were presumably fired from military bases and cruisers with unknown coordinates, I think the best charts we can produce for the war is relocation charts, set for the three capitals, thus showing how the three countries view the war from their perspectives.

Below is the chart set for Tehran. Charts set for Washington DC and Jerusalem are in the comments.

I’d say among the three charts, the US will suffer the least damage, but in all three charts, the fact that the Moon (the people) and Jupiter in Cancer (patriotic ideals) are squared by Chiron and Eris (hurt by chaos) is troubling, to say the least…

【A chart for Iran: Correct time for Khomeini’s return from exile】

Owing to rising tensions in the Middle East, I’ve been researching into the establishment process of the present-day Islamic Republic of Iran.

What I’ve found is, the time or even location for major events that astrologers have been using for decades is actually inaccurate!!

An example is the exact time when Ruhollah Khomeini got off from the plane and landed on Iranian soil on Feb 1, 1979. This single event basically sparked off everything else that shaped contemporary Iran (if you aren’t quite familiar with the history, check out the link in comments below).

Many astrologers have been using 9am, but with the help of AI to dig into Persian sources, I realized the actual time was 9.33am which is routinely celebrated in Iran!!

Below shows the chart and the transits for March 9 when transiting Saturn will be exactly square the MC-IC, then conjunct Asc on March 24. Neptune and others will make major aspects too. I’ll leave those for you to comment on below…
