🎃🧙‍♀️ There's a spooky welcome waiting at College View Nursing Home where Halloween preparations are well underway. And it looks like our resident witch has already been working her magic.

🧹 We are not sure if she's here to welcome visitors or cast a spell on them, but she's certainly making herself at home. 😂

🕷️ With cobwebs appearing, spooky decorations going up and our rather mischievous witch ready to greet visitors, the Halloween spirit has well and truly arrived.

🥰👏 A special word of thanks to Fiona, our wonderful Activities Coordinator, for all her hard work getting our home Halloween-ready.

And, of course, for the care, creativity and enthusiasm she brings to her role every day, ensuring our residents enjoy a wonderful variety of fun, engaging and meaningful activities.

🦶 Who doesn't enjoy a relaxing foot spa and massage?

Our residents Tom and the three Marys recently enjoyed a lovely pampering session at College View Nursing Home, Cavan.

🫧 A soothing foot spa, a gentle massage and some time to sit back, relax and enjoy a little TLC.

And judging by the photos, everyone was enjoying the experience. 💕

Throwback Thursday as we look back at last week when we had a lovely afternoon of music and song with the talented Tony Newman, who entertained our residents with his wonderful guitar playing and singing 👏

And there was another lovely reason to celebrate ❤️ Our Healthcare Assistant Maria, pictured in blue, recently got married, so of course we couldn't let the occasion pass without a special song to congratulate her and wish her every happiness in married life 🥰💐

A big thank you to Tony for another enjoyable afternoon of music and entertainment, and warmest congratulations to Maria from all of us here at College View Nursing Home ❤️

We had a very special birthday celebration at College View Nursing Home yesterday, Sunday, 11th October, as our lovely resident Teresa celebrated her birthday in style 🥳

There was a scrumptious birthday cake, lovingly made by our talented Chef Linda, who is pictured with the birthday girl, along with cards, gifts and lots of birthday wishes 🎂

And the icing on the cake was a very special visit from the wonderfully talented Virginia Gospel Choir who filled College View with beautiful, uplifting songs and plenty of joy 👏

💐 Happy Birthday, Teresa! Wishing you lots of love, happiness and many more wonderful celebrations.

Lots happening at College View Nursing Home, Cavan where it has been another busy time with birthdays, outings, special visitors and time spent together.

Rita celebrated her birthday on Thursday last week, and she enjoyed every minute of her special day

On Sunday, Activities Coordinator Fiona, Healthcare Assistant Sinead and Residents Elsie, Noel, Violet, Teresa, Fr Pat and Margaret enjoyed an outing to the Rugby Choir at the Sullivan Centre.

We also had a very welcome visit from Brody the therapy dog, who is pictured spending some time with Mamie and Violet. There’s always a smile when Brody comes to visit!

And to round off a busy Sunday, we enjoyed a lovely Harvest Celebration programme with Rev Jean and her son Emmanuel.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the College View Nursing Home Memory Walk in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

We are delighted to share that the team raised a fantastic €510 👏

Well done to our Activities Coordinator Fiona, Healthcare Assistants (HCA's) Martina, Sinead, Hannah and Lorraine, Kathleen from Admin, and of course the lovely Charlie and Mia, who all put on their walking shoes and took part for College View.

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported the team along the way. Every contribution helped to make a difference for a very worthy cause.

💙 A little look back at our week at College View Nursing Home, Cavan

It’s been another busy week, with plenty of activities, treats and a little pampering along the way 😊

🎉 Bingo winners Lena and Teresa were delighted with their new mirrors, while Betty won a lovely new blue fleece blanket.

💇‍♀️ Margaret enjoyed a fresh new hair colour, while Elsie and Mary had their nails done and Violet relaxed with a lovely hand massage. 💅

🎃 We also got creative with some pumpkin and canvas crafts, while Gabriel and Mary kept their minds busy tackling word searches.

Lots of smiles and plenty of variety🥰 just the way we like our weeks at College View Nursing Home 💙

A Wonderful Afternoon of Music at College View Last week, we were delighted to welcome Mary Harwood to College View for an afternoon of music and song.

Mary brought her guitar and entertained our residents with some wonderful music, creating a lovely atmosphere throughout the home.

It was wonderful to see our residents enjoying the music, joining in and spending time together.

A big thank you to Mary for coming to visit us. We look forward to welcoming you back again!

Our residents at College View Nursing Home have been enjoying a lovely mix of group and individual activities, with something for everyone to enjoy. 💚

Pictured are Gabriel enjoying a good book, Mary working on a puzzle, Lena taking part in an activity, and Rory enjoying his tool puzzle.

We also embraced the changing season by creating a beautiful harvest basket with little treasures from our gardens, including mushrooms and tiny crab apples. 🍄🍎🌿

Our Season of Creation table also received a lovely refresh, with fresh flowers bringing a beautiful seasonal touch to the display. 🌸🍂

It's lovely to see our residents enjoying meaningful activities, connecting with nature and making the most of the simple pleasures each season brings. 💚

A huge thank you to Henry Jordan, owner of the Cavan Christian Bookshop, and to Boyd George and Jackson Wallis, who kindly came along to College View Nursing Home and entertained our residents with some wonderful singing.

It was such a lovely afternoon filled with music, smiles and plenty of toe-tapping! Our residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to you, and we are so grateful for the time you spent with us.

Thank you for bringing your music and joy to College View; you were fantastic!

We hope to welcome you back again soon. 🎶❤️
