And another year in my Homeopathy studies completed !!!!What a journey it has been. This last year has really helped to finetune the tools that we were given during our first 4 years of studying. I am so glad I ventured out on this journey as it has given me a whole new outlook on life and given me something I truly enjoy and believe in after I had lost direction and purpose in my life.
Thanks so much to the .irishschoolofhomeopathy to offer these fabulous years of learning and growing.

If someone would have told me that I will be getting excited about remedies a few years ago I would have not believed them - and yet - here I am. A parcel of remedies that I ordered myself to use in my practice feels a little bit like a present to myself - yet I do not need them for myself. I suppose its something about all the possibilities that all these remedies have to offer - and of course I am looking forward to be using them. Some of these remedies are specifically for people that need them - others I ordered to have available in case I need them after learning about them at my last weekend at the Post-Graduate Course in the Irish School of Homeopathy.

Beautiful weather in Ireland at last ☀️
Just remember… Irish skin is not always ready for this much sunshine all at once 😄

Sunburn can leave the skin hot, red, sore and sensitive. In homeopathy, remedies like Belladonna, Cantharis or Urtica urens are often considered depending on the symptoms.

And of course:
• drink plenty of water
• stay in the shade when needed
• don’t forget your sunscreen

Enjoy every little bit of Irish sunshine while it lasts 🌞

In the rare moments that we get sunshine in Ireland these days - what can be nicer than getting out for a nice long walk in nature. It is important that you check yourself, your children and pets for ticks afterwards as you want to remove them as soon as possible- though this has to be done carefully so as not to leave the head. In order to remove it use a tweezers without damaging the tick or you can get a small tick removal tool at a pet supply shop- I personally think they are the best.
A few drops of teatree oil on the bite wound - and most importantly - a dose of Ledum , which best is repeated for the next day or two.
It has now finally been recognised that ticks in Ireland are carriers of Lymes disease - so please take the necessary precautions!!!

Still working on cases this evening
Sometimes the real work of a case begins only after the case has been taken. At times we need to do quite a bit of research to figure out just what remedy might be the one for you as remedies can be quite similar . This is why a homeopath will ask you many questions and will want to know what symptoms feel like, or when they might be better or worse. By getting quite into the detail of the symptoms we can gain more clarity so that we can give you the remedy that closest matches your symptoms.

Many of the remedies we use in Homeopathy are derived plants that we have in our immediate surrounding. Through careful preperation, trituration and then later potentisation they are made into powerful remedies. The more potentised the less there will be any of the original substance of the plant left which makes them safe to use.
Urtica Urens is used for a lot more symptoms than above but there are other remedies that might be suitable too. In order to find out what remedy might be of help it is always advised to contact a homeopath to help you find out what remedy is most suitable for you.

A little detour after the Irish Homeopathy Society AGM . Beautiful evening at Lough Owel - if it weren't for the swarms of midges (and I have no remedies with me to keep them away😩- Staphisagria could really be of use here) - so I stayed in the car for most of the time.
