💙 Supporting a child means understanding the relationships and connections that shape their world.

Therapy can help strengthen parent-child relationships, support siblings, and create greater understanding within families.

Because when we work together, we create opportunities for connection, growth, and positive change. 🌱

Every day, we get to meet incredible young people and families from all walks of life ❤️

What makes Inside Out Therapy special is the people. Our team, the families who trust us, and most importantly, the children and young people who allow us to be part of their journey.

Every story is different. Every child is different. And that’s exactly why our approach has to be too.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us and supported us along the way ❤️

Introducing Maureen - Our Service Manager here at Inside Out Therapy!!! 💙

Therapy doesn’t always fit neatly into a box — and working with children means being willing to think outside of it.

Sometimes we need to get creative, try something different and meet a child where they are. Because therapy should work for children, rather than expecting children to work for therapy.

At Inside Out Therapy, we believe creativity, flexibility and connection can be just as important as the therapeutic technique itself. ❤️

“But surely things aren’t bad enough for therapy?”

Here’s the thing… they don’t have to be. 💛

Therapy isn’t only for when something is seriously wrong.

Sometimes it’s about giving a child a safe space to talk, understand their feelings, build confidence and learn skills for life.

Think of it as support before things become a crisis, rather than waiting until they do. 🌱

You don’t need a big problem to ask for a little help 💙

🍂 As we move from summer back into the routines and demands of school, it’s worth taking a moment to check in with your child.

The shift from relaxed summer days to school routines can bring new pressures, expectations, friendships, homework and emotions.

Sometimes a simple “How are you doing with everything?” can open the door to a much bigger conversation.

You don’t always need to fix it. Sometimes, children just need us to notice, listen and make space for how things are feeling.

💬 Check in. Listen. Connect.

🐾 Sometimes, children bring a little bit of home with them into the therapy room.

Pets can be incredibly important to children, and when they’re able to bring their furry best friend along, it can help them feel safe, comfortable and connected.

That sense of familiarity can be wonderful for the therapeutic process, helping children settle, engage and simply be themselves.

Today, Max arrived with his little bestie , and we were delighted to welcome them both! 🐶💙

What makes a good therapist?

Someone asked me recently what makes a good therapist.

It’s not just qualifications.
It’s not having all the answers.
And it’s certainly not about “fixing” people.

It’s about being able to listen, to be curious, to create safety and, most importantly, to build a genuine therapeutic relationship.

For children especially, that relationship is where the work begins. 💙
